IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For Codes 101 and 103, candidates must possess a 3-year B.Sc. in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
- For Code 107, candidates must possess a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
- The qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute through a regular full-time course.
- Candidates must generally have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The minimum is 45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates against seats reserved for them.
- Part-time, correspondence or distance education qualifications are not eligible.
- Only the specified qualification/branch against the respective trade or discipline will be considered.

IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Age Limit
The candidate should be between 18 and 24 years of age as on 30 September 2026 for General/EWS candidates.
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government guidelines:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years, with additional relaxation as applicable for reserved categories
IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Stipend
The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month will be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules, 1992, as amended, and IOCL's applicable guidelines.
The notification does not specify a fixed stipend amount in the recruitment advertisement.
IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Selection Process
There will be no written test for this recruitment.
Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination applicable to the trade/discipline. The aggregate marks of all subjects of all years/semesters will be considered.

In case of a tie in qualifying marks, the candidate senior by age will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage of marks in Matriculation will be considered higher in the merit list.
IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Application Process
The application process consists of two compulsory steps.
Step I - NAPS/NATS Registration and Application
- Candidates applying for Codes 101 and 103 must register on the NAPS portal.
- Candidates applying for Code 107 must register on the NATS portal.
- After registration, candidates must apply for the relevant apprenticeship opportunity notified by IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery.
- The candidate's personal, educational, category and aggregate percentage details must be correctly updated.
Step II - Microsoft Forms Submission
After applying through the respective NAPS/NATS portal, candidates must also submit their additional details through the Microsoft Forms link provided by IOCL.
The Microsoft Forms submission will open at 10:00 Hours on 28 September 2026 and close at 17:00 Hours on 18 October 2026.
Completion of both Step I and Step II is compulsory. Applications submitted through only one of the two steps, or applications containing incomplete, incorrect or mismatching information, will be treated as invalid.
