High Court of Gujarat Librarian Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor of Library and Information Science or its equivalent Degree from a University recognized by the Government.
- Degree in Law is preferable.
- Candidate must possess a certificate regarding basic knowledge of computer as prescribed by the State Government from time to time.
- Sufficient knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi languages is required.
Experience Required
Candidates must have 02 years of experience working in any well-organized Library after obtaining the required degree.
High Court of Gujarat Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than 37 years of age as on the last date for submitting the online application.

High Court of Gujarat Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Main Written Examination - 100 Marks
- Viva-voce Test - 40 Marks
Main Written Examination
The Main Written Examination will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions for 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong/multiple answer.
The syllabus includes:
- Library Science
- English Language and Gujarati Language
- General Studies including History, Geography, Science and Current Affairs
- Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
- Basic Legal Knowledge
- Basic Knowledge of Computer Application
PwBD candidates must secure at least 45% marks in the Main Written Examination, while all other candidates must secure at least 50% marks to qualify for the Viva-voce Test.
Viva-voce Test
The Viva-voce Test will carry 40 marks. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the Viva-voce Test to be included in the Final Merit List.
