Welding
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Manufacturing or Material Science.
- AND M.E./M.Tech in Welding Technology, Mechanical Welding and Sheet Metal Engineering, Manufacturing with Welding as one of the subjects, Metallurgy with Welding as one of the subjects, or Production with Welding as one of the subjects.
Turbo Machinery
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace.
- AND M.E./M.Tech in Turbo Machinery, Thermal & Fluids Engineering with Turbo Machinery as one of the subjects, or Aerospace Propulsion with Turbo Machinery as one of the subjects.
Power Electronics
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Applied Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Avionics or Power Engineering.
- AND M.E./M.Tech in Power Electronics, Power Electronics and Control, Power Control and Drives, Advanced Electrical Power System, Electrical and Electronics (Power Systems), High Voltage and Power Systems Engineering, or Industrial Power Control and Drives.
B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification requires an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 on a 10-point scale. M.E./M.Tech or equivalent requires an aggregate minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
LPSC Recruitment 2026 - Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 13 October 2026 for all posts.
Age relaxation is applicable to Ex-servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Departmental candidates as per Government of India orders.
LPSC Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee
All applicants initially have to pay an application fee of Rs. 750.
- Female, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for a full fee refund.
- Other candidates will receive a refund of Rs. 500 after retaining Rs. 250 as the application fee.
- The refund is applicable to candidates who appear for the written test and provide the required bank account details.

The aptitude/ability section covers Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Diagrammatic Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Deductive Reasoning. Part-C consists of technical questions relevant to the main specialization/discipline notified in the advertisement.
Candidates must secure 50% in each of Parts A, B and C in the written test. The minimum qualifying mark for the interview is 50/100, with an aggregate minimum of 60%.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview based on written-test performance in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum of 10 candidates.
For final panel preparation, the Written Test carries 50% weightage and the Personal Interview carries 50% weightage.
