Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has released Advertisement No. 17-Exam/2026 for recruitment to the post of Livestock Extension Officer (Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari) under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Uttar Pradesh. A total of 1,251 Livestock Extension Officer vacancies have been notified, including 1,248 vacancies under the general recruitment process and 3 vacancies under special selection.

UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age limit and PET-2025 eligibility conditions before submitting their application.

UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Passed Intermediate / Class 12 examination with Biology Group from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent 10+2 examination recognised by the Government.
  • Possess a 2-Year Livestock Extension Diploma from a Veterinary University or Veterinary College established by law.
  • Knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script is required.

Preferential Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates who fulfil the additional conditions prescribed under the relevant service rules, including applicable Territorial Army, NCC or specified veterinary-service experience conditions.

UPSSSC PET 2025 Requirement

Only candidates who appeared in UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and were issued a valid PET-2025 score are eligible to apply for the Main Examination recruitment process.

  • Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be based on the normalised PET-2025 score.
  • Candidates obtaining zero or less than zero / negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
  • Candidates whose PET-2025 results are marked provisional or under investigation may be permitted provisionally, subject to the final decision of the Commission.
