The Sub-Inspector posts carry Level-6 pay scale.

SSC CPO SI Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university or equivalent qualification for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs.
For Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or a recognised diploma qualification in relevant engineering disciplines
Driving Licence Requirement
Male candidates applying for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date of Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)

Candidates qualifying in the written examination will appear for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).
The physical standards include height, chest measurement for male candidates and running events as prescribed by SSC.
