South East Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur Division and Motibagh Workshop has officially released the Apprentice Recruitment Notification 2026-27 for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. A total of 1079 apprentice vacancies have been announced for various ITI trades including Fitter, Electrician, COPA, Welder, Carpenter, Turner, Plumber and others.

This recruitment offers a valuable opportunity for ITI-qualified candidates to gain hands-on training in the Indian Railways sector. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Apprenticeship India portal from 19 May 2026 to 18 June 2026. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 10th Class examination or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates should possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.
• Only ITI qualification in notified trades will be accepted.
• Candidates must fill both 10th and ITI marks correctly in the application form.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on merit list.
• The merit list will be prepared based on average percentage marks obtained in:
  • 10th Class Examination
  • ITI Examination in relevant trade
• No written examination or interview will be conducted.
• In case of same marks, older candidate will be given preference.
• If date of birth is also same, candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be considered first.

Training Period and Stipend

• The apprenticeship training duration will be 1 Year.
• Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per Apprenticeship Rules and Railway norms.

Medical Fitness

• Selected candidates must submit medical fitness certificate at the time of joining.
• The certificate should be signed by a Government Authorized Doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
