SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply for 300 Graduate and Diploma Apprentice Posts

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a Government Company, has released a notification for engagement of Graduate Engineering, Non-Engineering Graduate and Diploma Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

A total of 300 tentative apprenticeship slots have been announced. These include 150 Engineering Graduate Apprentice slots, 100 Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice slots and 50 Diploma Apprentice slots.

Candidates who passed the prescribed qualification during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 can apply, subject to the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification.

The SCCL online application portal is open from 06 August 2026 at 12:00 PM to 16 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 portal and then submit a separate application through the SCCL apprenticeship portal.

SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the prescribed qualification, passing-year, age, registration and other eligibility conditions before applying.

Eligible Passing Years

Only candidates who passed the relevant Graduate or Diploma qualification during the last five years are eligible.

Candidates who passed in any year other than the above-mentioned years will be rejected during scrutiny.

SCCL Engineering Graduate Apprentice Qualification 2026

Candidates must have passed an Engineering Degree in the relevant branch for which apprenticeship slots are notified.

Eligible Engineering branches are:

SCCL Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice Qualification 2026

Candidates must have completed the relevant Graduation qualification in one of the notified disciplines:

• B.Sc
• B.Com
• BBA
• BCA
• B.Pharmacy

SCCL Diploma Apprentice Qualification 2026

Candidates must possess a Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline.

• Mining

SCCL Apprentice Age Limit 2026

The minimum age for applying is 18 years and the maximum age is 28 years as on 31 July 2026.

SCCL Apprentice Age Relaxation 2026

A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is available for SC, ST and BC candidates.

SCCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

The stipend will be shared equally:

• 50% by SCCL
• 50% by BOAT Southern Region / NATS 2.0, Ministry of Education, Government of India

The Government / NATS share will be credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the apprentice's Aadhaar-enabled bank account.

SCCL Apprentice Bank Account Requirement 2026

Candidates applying for apprenticeship must have a bank account in Union Bank of India at one of the SCCL salary-disbursing branches specified in the notification.

• Aadhaar must be linked with the bank account.
• e-KYC must be completed.
• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) must be enabled.
• The bank details registered on NATS must correspond to the eligible account.

SCCL will not be responsible for non-payment of the Government share of stipend if Aadhaar is not linked or DBT is not enabled.

SCCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

Selection for apprenticeship will be based on inter-seniority with reference to the year of passing and merit within that year.

Priority in Selection

Priority will be given according to SCCL's prevailing practice to:

• SCCL Employee Children
• Retired SCCL Employee Children
• PAF / PDF Candidates

Local, caste and EWS reservations will be followed as per the prevailing SCCL policy. Vacant reserved-category slots may be diverted to the open category.

Preference may also be given to candidates having knowledge of:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Systems
• MS Office
• MS Excel

SCCL Apprentice Training Period 2026

The apprenticeship training duration is one year or 12 months under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

The apprenticeship will automatically terminate after completion of the one-year training period.

Previous Apprenticeship Restriction

Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are already registered for apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in SCCL or any other organisation are not eligible for another apprenticeship contract.

Candidates must submit an undertaking confirming that they have not already undergone the prescribed apprenticeship training.

SCCL Apprentice Application Fee 2026

There is no registration or application fee for applying through the SCCL portal or submitting the application at the Area MVTC counter.

How to Apply for SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the NATS 2.0 portal at nats.education.gov.in.
2. Complete NATS registration and obtain the registration number.
3. Upload the required certificates and complete the NATS profile.
4. Visit the official SCCL apprenticeship portal at scclmines.com/apprenticeship.
5. Read all terms and conditions carefully.
6. Fill in all required information.
7. Enter the same email ID and mobile number used in the NATS portal.
8. Upload the recent photograph in the prescribed format.
9. Upload the required original certificates in PDF format.
10. Submit the SCCL online application.
11. Take a printout of the SCCL portal-generated application.
12. Sign the application printout.
13. Attach the required self-attested certificates.
14. Submit the hard copy to the nearest SCCL Area GVTC / MVTC before 16 August 2026 at 5:00 PM.

SCCL Apprentice Hard Copy Submission 2026

Online application alone is not sufficient. Candidates must submit the signed application and prescribed documents at the nearest SCCL Area Group / Mines Vocational Training Centre.

The hard copy must be submitted between 06 August 2026 at 12:00 PM and 16 August 2026 at 5:00 PM.

If the hard copy is not submitted to an MVTC/GVTC for scrutiny and verification, the application will not be included in the received list and the candidate will not be considered.

Original certificates must be uploaded in PDF format. The prescribed PDF file size is 50 KB to 250 KB.

SCCL Apprentice Photograph Requirements

SCCL Apprentice Local / Residence Certificate

The notification contains prescribed formats for establishing local status.

Candidates who studied in educational institutions during the relevant period may use the prescribed School Study Certificate obtained from the Head of the educational institution.

Candidates who did not study in an educational institution during the whole or part of the relevant 4/7-year period may need the prescribed Certificate of Residence issued by the Revenue Department authority not below the rank specified in the notification.

SCCL Apprentice Posting 2026

• The MVTC where the application is submitted will not automatically become the apprentice's posting area.
• Candidates must provide area posting preferences as Option 1, Option 2, Option 3 and so on.
• Final posting depends on vacancies and candidate preferences.
• Candidates applying through MVTC Naini will be posted in the Naini Area.
• Selected candidates may be required to work in any nearby allotted region.

SCCL Apprentice Attendance Rules

• Unauthorised absence for more than 20 consecutive days may lead to termination.
• Cumulative absenteeism of 40 days may also result in termination.
• An apprentice must complete up to 240 musters of attendance to receive the Apprenticeship Certificate.

SCCL Apprentice Insurance Requirement

Selected external candidates are required to open an eligible Union Bank of India account and opt for the Rs. 30 lakh Group Accidental Insurance Policy mentioned in the notification.

The candidate must bear the applicable premium, stated in the notification as approximately Rs. 750 for the one-year training period.

SCCL Apprentice Employment After Training

Completion of apprenticeship training does not provide any right to permanent employment in SCCL.

• There is no employment guarantee after apprenticeship.
• There is no quota for SCCL apprentices in regular recruitment.
• There is no preference for regular jobs merely because a candidate completed apprenticeship in SCCL.

SCCL Apprentice Important Instructions 2026

• Candidates should register on NATS 2.0 before applying on the SCCL portal.
• The same email ID and mobile number must be used on both NATS and SCCL portals.
• The registered email ID and mobile number should remain unchanged until completion of selection.
• Name, parents' names, date of birth and passing year should match SSC / Birth Certificate, Aadhaar and Graduate / Diploma certificates.
• Any mismatch may lead to rejection during scrutiny.
• For married women, the surname in Aadhaar and NATS registration should match the surname in the SSC certificate as stipulated in the notification.
• The bank account registered in NATS must be Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled.
• False claims regarding SCCL employee-child or PAF/PDF status will lead to rejection.
• Suppression of facts can result in disqualification or termination after joining.
• Incorrect uploaded documents or portal details may lead to rejection.
• Candidates will not necessarily be individually informed of reasons for rejection.
• A candidate who cannot accept the apprenticeship contract on NATS due to data mismatch or an existing contract will not be allowed to join.
• SCCL may increase or decrease slots or extend application dates at its discretion.

SCCL Apprentice Application Submission Centres
