Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 for Junior Engineer Combined Direct Recruitment 2026. The recruitment drive is being conducted for Junior Engineer posts in the Public Works Department, Water Resources Department and Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Rajasthan.
A total of 874 Junior Engineer vacancies have been announced. Out of these, 793 posts are for Non-Scheduled Areas and 81 posts are for Scheduled Areas.

RSSB Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age, nationality and other service conditions applicable to the respective Junior Engineer post.
RSSB Junior Engineer Educational Qualification 2026
Junior Engineer Civil – Degree Holder
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a University established by law in India or from a recognised institution; or
- An equivalent qualification declared by the Government.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.

Junior Engineer Civil – Diploma Holder
- Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution; or

Can Final Year Candidates Apply for RSSB JE Recruitment 2026?
Yes. Candidates who are appearing in or have appeared in the final year examination of the prescribed educational qualification can apply.
However, they must acquire the required educational qualification by the date of the recruitment examination. Candidates who acquire the required qualification after the examination date will not be considered eligible for this recruitment.

The Junior Engineer post carries Pay Matrix Level-10 under the Seventh Pay Commission as prescribed by the Rajasthan Government.

During the probation period, selected candidates will receive fixed monthly remuneration at the rate prescribed by the Rajasthan Government.
RSSB Junior Engineer Probation Period 2026
Candidates appointed through direct recruitment will normally remain on probation for a period of 2 years.
During probation, fixed remuneration will be payable according to Government rules. Other allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance and Special Pay will not be payable during the probation period unless otherwise provided under the applicable rules.
After successful completion of probation, training and other prescribed requirements, candidates will become eligible for the minimum of the regular pay scale and applicable allowances according to rules.
RSSB Junior Engineer One Time Registration Fee 2026
RSSB follows the One Time Registration (OTR) fee system. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee are not required to pay it again.

The Board proposes to conduct the Junior Engineer recruitment examinations in February 2027.
The examination for Civil Degree, Civil Diploma and Mechanical/Electrical Diploma posts may be held separately through any of the following modes as decided by RSSB:

RSSB Junior Engineer Negative Marking 2026
There will be negative marking in the examination. For every incorrect answer, one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.
RSSB objective examinations also use five answer options marked A, B, C, D and E. If a candidate does not wish to attempt a question, the candidate must mark option E as prescribed in the notification.
RSSB Junior Engineer Minimum Qualifying Marks 2026
Candidates are required to obtain at least 40% marks in the recruitment examination. Candidates securing less than the prescribed qualifying marks will not be eligible for appointment, subject to relaxations applicable under Government rules.
