Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Central Railway has released the Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 notification for eligible sportspersons. The recruitment drive is being conducted for filling 59 vacancies including 21 Group C posts and 38 Level-1 posts under the Sports Quota for the year 2026-27. Interested candidates can submit their online applications from 15 July 2026 to 14 August 2026 through the official RRC Central Railway website.
The recruitment is open for various sports disciplines including Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Boxing, Cricket, Hockey, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Cycling, Handball, Kho-Kho and Powerlifting. Candidates who qualify in the sports trials will be called for the further recruitment process.

RRC Central Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.
- Candidates born between 01 January 2002 and 01 January 2009 are eligible.
- No relaxation is available in upper or lower age limit.
Educational Qualification

Sports Achievement Eligibility
Candidates must have participated in recognized sports events conducted under recognized International, National or State Sports Federations and approved by Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB). Sports achievements should be from events held on or after 01 April 2024.
Level 5/4 Sports Qualification
- Represented India in Olympic Games (Senior Category).
- Secured at least 3rd position in World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games or Youth Olympics.
- Secured at least 3rd position in Champions Trophy (Hockey).
Level 3/2 Sports Qualification
- Participation in World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games or Youth Olympics.
- Participation or medal achievement in recognized National and International championships.
Level-1 Sports Qualification
- Represented India in Commonwealth Championships, Asian Championships, SAF Games, World University Games or USIC Championships.
- Secured required positions in recognized National Championships and Federation Cup events.

RRC Central Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process includes the following stages:

Candidates must secure at least 25 marks out of 40 in game skill, physical fitness and coach observation during trials to proceed further. The final merit will be prepared based on sports achievement, trial performance and educational qualification marks.
