PGIMER Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the required educational qualification, age limit and experience criteria prescribed for the respective post.
Medical Officer Qualification
- Medical qualification included in I or II Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Registration with State Medical Council is mandatory.
- Should have special training in Family Planning & Educational methods.
- Preference will be given to candidates having postgraduate degree or diploma in the concerned speciality.
Computer Programmer Qualification
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics (with Statistics), Operation Research, Physics OR Degree in Engineering/Computer Science from a recognised university.
- One year experience in programming or operation of electronic computer.
Pharmacist Grade-II Qualification
- Matriculation or equivalent.
- Diploma in Pharmacy from recognised institution.
- Registered Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Library Attendant Grade-I Qualification
- Matric with Science.
- Diploma in Library Science.
- One year experience of handling books and journals in a reputed library.
Animal Attendant Qualification
- Matriculation or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write Hindi/English/Punjabi.
- Knowledge of cleaning and dusting work.
Barber Qualification
- Matriculation with at least two years experience in the relevant field.
Multi Tasking Staff (Sanitation) Qualification
- Matriculation or equivalent.

PGIMER Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), shortlisting, document verification and interview wherever applicable.

For Group A posts, CBT will carry 85 marks and interview will carry 15 marks. For Group B and Group C posts, selection will be based on CBT marks only as interview has been dispensed with.
