Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a Government of Odisha Undertaking, has released a recruitment notification for engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act. OPTCL invites applications from young and meritorious candidates for one-year apprenticeship training in various disciplines.
A total of 100 apprentice vacancies are available for Degree Engineering, Degree Non-Engineering, Diploma Technician and ITI Trade Apprentice categories. Selection will be made based on academic merit / written test / interview as required.

OPTCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

OPTCL will pay 50% stipend for Degree Engineering, Diploma Technician and Degree Non-Engineering Apprentices, while the remaining 50% will be paid by BOPT through DBT.
OPTCL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality
Only Indian Nationals belonging to the state of Odisha are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Candidates should not be less than 18 years of age as on 01 August 2026.

OPTCL Apprentice Training Period 2026
- The apprenticeship training period will be one year (12 months).
- The training period starts from the online contract date of apprenticeship training.
- Stipend will be provided from the start date of online contract subject to satisfactory performance.
- Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in OPTCL.
OPTCL is not obligated to provide employment after completion of apprenticeship training.
OPTCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Selection will be made based on:
- Academic Merit
- Written Test (if required)
- Interview (if required)

- Register yourself on NATS/NAPS apprenticeship portal.
- Degree Engineering, Diploma Engineering and Degree Non-Engineering candidates must register on NATS 2.0 portal.
- ITI Trade candidates must register on NAPS portal.
- Ensure Aadhaar is seeded with bank account for DBT.
- After receiving registration/enrolment number, apply through OPTCL website.
- Submit the online application before the last date.

- Candidates who have completed apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act 1961 or have one year or more job experience are not eligible.
- Candidates appearing for required qualifying examination are not eligible.
- No TA/DA or other expenses will be paid for document verification/interview.
