The recruitment process consists of three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Written Examination

The Preliminary Examination is only a screening test. Its marks will not be counted for preparation of the final merit list.

The Preliminary Examination will be an objective-type screening examination.

The Preliminary Examination may be conducted using OMR or Computer-Based Test mode as decided by the Commission.

Language of OPSC APP Main Examination 2026

Candidates must answer the Main Examination papers in English, except for the portion requiring translation into Odia.

The standard of the General English paper will be that of a Degree Course, while the other law papers will be of LLB course standard under University Examination.
