MPESB Subedar and Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026: Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal has released the detailed rulebook for the Subedar / Sub Inspector Cadre Selection Test 2026 under Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. A total of 507 vacancies have been announced for Subedar and various Sub Inspector posts in non-technical and technical cadres.

The recruitment includes Subedar, Sub Inspector (Special Armed Force), Sub Inspector (District Executive Force), Sub Inspector (Arms), Sub Inspector (Photo), Sub Inspector (Questioned Documents) and Sub Inspector (Finger Print). Online applications can be submitted from 09 September 2026 to 23 September 2026. Candidates can make permitted corrections in the application up to 28 September 2026.

The first-stage Preliminary Examination will begin on 28 October 2026. Candidates qualifying the Preliminary Examination will be called for the Main Examination. A total of 507 vacancies have been notified across seven Subedar / Sub Inspector cadres.

A total of 81 Subedar vacancies have been notified. The vacancy distribution includes Open, Ex-Servicemen, Police Employee and Female horizontal reservation categories according to the rules prescribed in the rulebook.

MP Police SI Ex-Servicemen Educational Qualification Provision

The rulebook also contains a specific provision for eligible Madhya Pradesh Ex-Servicemen. In applicable reserved Group-C appointments where Graduation is the prescribed qualification, certain Matric-qualified Ex-Servicemen with at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces may be considered under the conditions prescribed in the applicable rules.

The rulebook prescribes different maximum age limits according to domicile, gender, social category and specified special concessions. The candidate must satisfy the prescribed age condition on the closing date of the application.

The concessions marked for special categories are available only to eligible Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates as provided in the rulebook.
