Who Can Apply for Konkan Railway ALP Recruitment?
The recruitment is on deputation basis. Candidates applying for the posts must meet the eligibility conditions specified in the vacancy notice.
Eligibility and Experience
- The applicant should be holding the post of ALP/Sr. ALP in the regular cadre of the Indian Railways.
- The applicant must possess the requisite Ay-1 Medical classification.
- The candidate must be medically fit to perform running staff duties.
Educational Qualification
The prescribed qualification includes Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trades.

Alternatively, Matriculation/SSLC plus completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above is acceptable.
Candidates with HSC/12th Standard (10+2) Science passed through regular schooling are also eligible.
In addition, a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile Engineering, or a combination of various streams of these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution is acceptable in lieu of ITI.
A degree in the above engineering disciplines is also acceptable in lieu of a Diploma in Engineering.

Pay Scale and Allowances
The posts carry the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-2 and Pay Matrix Level-4, as applicable to the respective post.
The employee will draw the pay that would have been admissible to him/her from time to time on the Railway, along with the applicable deputation (duty) allowance.

Term of Deputation

Railway Accommodation During Deputation
Retention of Railway accommodation during deputation in KRCL will be governed by the Railway Board's policy, as amended from time to time.
Immediate Absorption
KRCL has been permitted exemption from the rule of immediate absorption up to 31 December 2026.
