Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 07 of 2026 for recruitment to various Divisional Cadre posts under the PM Package for Kashmiri Migrants and Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits. The vacancies have been requisitioned by the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department.

A total of 72 vacancies have been announced for Draftsman, Sub-Inspector, Junior Statistical Assistant, Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant, Junior Librarian, Library Assistant and Depot Assistant posts. Eligible candidates can apply online from 10 August 2026 to 08 September 2026.

Eligibility Conditions

The recruitment is being conducted under SRO 412 dated 30 December 2009, read with SRO 425 dated 10 October 2017 and other relevant rules.

  • Only candidates recognised as Migrants under SRO 412 of 2009 or Kashmiri Pandits under SRO 425 of 2017 are eligible.
  • Migrant status under SRO 412 will be certified by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Status under SRO 425 will be certified by the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district.
  • Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • A valid domicile certificate must be held on or before 08 September 2026.

Educational Qualification

Sub-Inspector Graduation from a recognised university.
Junior Statistical Assistant Bachelor’s degree with Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Applications or Information Technology as one of the elective subjects.
Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant Class 10 with a two-year ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle course from a recognised institute and a driving licence for motorcycle with gear and light motor vehicles.
Junior Librarian Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognised university.
Library Assistant Graduate degree from a recognised university with a degree or diploma in Library Science.
Depot Assistant Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university.

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the last date for submission of online applications. Candidates claiming an equivalent qualification may be required to submit an equivalence certificate issued by the competent authority.

Ex-Servicemen Age Relaxation

Ex-Servicemen may deduct the period of service in the Armed Forces from their actual age. If the resultant age does not exceed the prescribed maximum age by more than three years, they will be treated as satisfying the age requirement.

Selection Process

Selection for all advertised posts will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the written or OMR examination only.

JKSSB Exam Pattern

  • The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • Questions will be set in the English language only.
  • One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • The detailed post-wise syllabus will be notified separately on the JKSSB website.

Examination Date and Centre

The examination date and centre details will be notified separately by JKSSB. The examination notification and admit card details will be published on the official website.

The facility to download admit cards is expected to be made available approximately one week before the examination date.

Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted for document verification must appear with original documents and self-attested photocopies of the required certificates.

No travelling allowance or daily allowance will be paid for attending the written examination or document verification.

Reservation Rules

  • Category-wise reservation will apply according to the breakup communicated by the indenting department and the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules.
  • Candidates claiming reservation must possess a valid category certificate on or before the cut-off date.
  • The valid category certificate must be uploaded while submitting the online application form.
  • Horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities will apply according to the relevant rules.
  • If candidates are unavailable in certain reserved categories other than RBA, such vacancies may be filled from eligible Open Merit candidates as provided in the notification.

Important Instructions
