The Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad, one of the leading centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, has released the recruitment notification for temporary positions of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs), Research Associates (RAs) and Project Scientist-I posts.
ISRO SAC has invited online applications from eligible candidates for 48 research positions. The online recruitment portal will remain open from 10 September 2026 at 10:00 AM to 30 September 2026 at 05:00 PM.

ISRO SAC Recruitment 2026 Qualification Details
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
The educational qualification varies according to post code. Candidates require M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. qualifications in relevant disciplines.
- Semiconductor Technology / Quantum / Micro or Nano Electronic Devices / RF & Microwave related disciplines.
- Electronics & Communication, Micro-Electronics, Nano-Electronics, Digital Electronics, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing and related disciplines.
- Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, Photonics, Optoelectronics, Optics, Material Science, Nanotechnology and related disciplines.
- Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Physical Oceanography, Oceanography, Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics and related disciplines.
- Geo-physics, Geo-Sciences, Earth Sciences and Geotechnical Engineering related disciplines.
- Computer Science / Computer Engineering and related disciplines.
For JRF Post Codes 01 to 07, candidates must also qualify one of the following: CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Research Associate (RA)
Candidates should have Ph.D. in relevant disciplines or required research/design/development experience after M.E./M.Tech along with research publications as specified for the post.
Project Scientist-I
Project Scientist-I posts require Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech qualifications in relevant fields depending on the post code.
ISRO SAC Age Limit 2026

Age will be calculated as on 30 September 2026. SC/ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation and OBC-NCL candidates will get 3 years relaxation as per Government of India rules.
ISRO SAC Salary 2026

The Research Associate amount will be fixed according to qualification and experience.

ISRO SAC Selection Process 2026
The selection process will be based on shortlisting and interview.
