Post-Wise Eligibility for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2026
1. Store Keeper Grade II
Educational Qualification: 12th pass from a recognized Board or University.
Experience: One year's experience in handling stores from any recognized firm, Central or State Government organization or Public Sector Undertaking.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years.
The upper age limit is relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years in accordance with the instructions/orders issued by the Central Government.
2. Engine Driver
Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and a Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government institute or equivalent.
Desirable Experience: Two years of service as Sarang on a vessel of over 400 Boat Horse Power.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.
The age limit is relaxable by five years for SC candidates against reserved vacancies. Relaxation for Government servants and Scheduled Caste candidates will be as per Central Government instructions.
3. Lascar
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Experience: Three years of experience in service on a boat.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.
The upper age limit is relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years as per Government instructions.
4. Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)
Educational Qualification: 10th standard pass.
The candidate must possess a valid driving licence for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
The candidate should also have knowledge of motor mechanism and should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles.
Experience: At least two years of experience in driving motor vehicles.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years.
The upper age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. Other applicable relaxations will be provided according to Government instructions.
5. MTS (Peon)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years of experience as an office attendant.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years.
The upper age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, subject to applicable Government instructions.

Eligible Indian citizens must apply using the prescribed application format given in Annexure-I. The application may be filled in either English or Hindi.

Travel Concession for SC/ST Candidates
