What Is SSC Tech 68 (Men) Indian Army?
The Short Service Commission (Technical) entry is a route for engineering graduates to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers without appearing for the UPSC CDS exam. Selection is based directly on the candidate's engineering degree marks, followed by a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview and medical examination. The 68th batch under this scheme will train at OTA Gaya starting April 2027, and successful candidates are commissioned as Lieutenants.
Indian Army SSC Tech 68 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must be one of the following:

Final-semester/final-year students will be provisionally allowed to appear in the SSB only if their cumulative marks up to the 6th semester/3rd year (for engineering), 8th semester/4th year (for B.Arch), or 2nd semester/1st year (for notified M.Sc. streams) meet the approved cut-off percentage.
