Who Can Apply for IBPS Hindi Officer Recruitment?
Candidates applying for the Hindi Officer post must satisfy the prescribed age, educational qualification and experience requirements. They must also meet the other eligibility conditions specified by IBPS.

IBPS Hindi Officer Educational Qualification 2026
The candidate must possess a Master's degree from a recognized university in any one of the following combinations:
- Master's degree in Hindi with English as a major or elective subject at Graduation.
- Master's degree in English with Hindi as a major or elective subject at Graduation.
- Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as a major or elective subject and English as the medium of examination at degree level.
- Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English as a major or elective subject and Hindi as the medium of examination at degree level.
The educational qualification must be obtained from a University, Institution or Board recognized by the Government of India or approved by the appropriate Government regulatory bodies.
Degrees obtained through correspondence, distance education or the open university system are not acceptable.
Important Qualification Conditions
- The result of the qualifying examination must have been declared on or before the last date of online submission of applications.
- Candidates must produce appropriate documents from the concerned University or Board confirming the date of declaration of the result.
- If CGPA/OGPA is awarded, it must be converted into percentage according to the University's prescribed conversion norms.
- The percentage should be entered to the nearest two decimals in the online application.
- For calculating percentage, total marks obtained in all subjects in all semesters/years are divided by the aggregate maximum marks and multiplied by 100.
- Any fraction in the percentage is ignored. For example, 59.99% is treated as less than 60% and 54.99% as less than 55%.
IBPS Hindi Officer Experience Requirement
One year of experience in translation work from English to Hindi and Hindi to English involving various reports, documents or letters in a bank or financial institution is desirable.
The notification also requires:
- Competency in operating computers.
- Ability to independently type/create translated text documents using MS Word and MS Excel in Hindi and English.
- Exposure to or experience in developing AI-based tools for translation is an added qualification.
Experience must have been acquired after completing the prescribed educational qualification and must be supported by appropriate experience certificates during the selection process.
Other Eligibility Conditions
IBPS has specified certain additional conditions for applicants:
- The candidate's integrity should not have been doubtful during their service or career.
- No punishment or penalty should have been inflicted during their service or career.
- No case of the CBI or other law enforcement agencies should be pending against the candidate.
- Good knowledge of computer operations, particularly MS Office, is necessary.

IBPS Hindi Officer Job Profile
The Hindi Officer will undertake language and translation-related responsibilities involving confidential examination material.
The job includes:
- Translation of confidential examination questions between Hindi and English.
- Development of objective-type and descriptive tests to assess Hindi language proficiency for various posts.
- Preparation and handling of translated material using computers.

The approximate monthly emolument includes DA, HRA and TA. The Annual CTC includes other benefits such as employer's PF contribution, medical benefits, Medi-Claim, telephone and newspaper bill reimbursement, canteen subsidy, performance-linked incentive, gratuity and superannuation.
Other benefits, including LTC/HTC, children's education subsidy, housing-loan interest subsidy, house-rent reimbursement, group personal accident insurance, house-furnishing loan, conveyance and computer loan and incentives for higher studies, will be governed by IBPS rules and policies applicable at the time of appointment.
IBPS Hindi Officer Service Bond
The selected candidate joining IBPS as Hindi Officer in Grade E must execute a Service Bond of Rs. 2 lakh.
The candidate must serve IBPS for a minimum period of three years from the date of joining. If the candidate does not complete the required service period, an amount of Rs. 2 lakh will have to be paid to IBPS towards the Service Bond.
The service bond period may be extended by the number of Loss of Pay (LOP) days.

Negative Marking
There is a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted while calculating the corrected score.
No marks will be deducted for questions left unanswered.
