The Gujarat Gauna Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 441/2026-27 for recruitment to the post of Multi Purpose Health Worker (Male), Class-3, under the Health and Family Welfare Department (Office of the Additional Director, Public Health, Gandhinagar). A total of 100 vacancies have been announced. Eligible candidates can apply online from 17 July 2026 (2:00 PM) to 31 July 2026 (11:59 PM) through the OJAS website. Category-wise breakup of the 100 vacancies under the Health and Family Welfare Department is as follows. Note: These posts are open to male candidates only, so no separate reservation for women has been made. Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) under this cadre is covered under a separate special recruitment drive (Advt No. 275/2024-25) and is not included here.

GSSSB Multi Purpose Health Worker Recruitment 2026 Post-wise Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications, along with basic computer knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both):

• Minimum one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or diploma course from a government-recognized institution; or
• Minimum one-year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a recognized institution; or
• Minimum one-year certificate course in Health Sanitary Inspectors from an ITI or other recognized institute; or
• Diploma of Sanitary Inspector/Health Sanitary Inspector from a recognized University or UGC-deemed institution
• Basic computer application knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967 (candidates without this certificate may still apply but must produce it before appointment)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years (as on 31 July 2026)
• Maximum Age: 33 Years (as on 31 July 2026)
• Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to max 38 years)
• General category candidates with disability: 10 years relaxation (up to max 43 years)
• Reserved category candidates with disability: 15 years relaxation (up to max 45 years)
• Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to service period rendered plus 3 years

• Written Competitive Exam MCQ based CBRT/OMR (Part-A and Part-B)
• Provisional Answer Key, Objections, and Final Answer Key
• Provisional Result Declaration

Exam Pattern: The exam consists of 210 objective-type questions across two parts, for a combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes):

Negative marking of 1/4 mark applies for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying standard is 40% each in Part-A and Part-B separately.

GSSSB Multi Purpose Health Worker Recruitment 2026 Salary

Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay of ₹26,000 per month for the first five years. On satisfactory completion of service, candidates will be placed in the regular 7th Pay Commission pay scale of ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (Level-2), subject to the outcome of pending Supreme Court SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012.
