A total of 85 Senior Resident vacancies are available across Non-Clinical, Clinical and Super Specialty departments. The walk-in interviews will be conducted on 03 November 2026 for Non-Clinical departments and 04 November 2026 for Clinical and Super Specialty departments.

ESIC Senior Resident Eligibility 2026
Educational Qualification
For Senior Resident posts under Clinical and Non-Clinical departments, candidates should possess a Medical PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from an MCI/NMC-recognized Medical Institution/Hospital.
For Medical Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry and Medical Physiology, a postgraduate medical degree in Master of Science with Doctor of Philosophy in the concerned subject is also specified.
Candidates must be registered under the MCI/NMC/State Medical Council. Candidates on bond are not eligible and candidates who have completed compulsory post-PG bond service must provide a Bond Clearance Certificate from the appointing authority.
For Senior Resident posts under Super Specialties, candidates should possess DM/MCh/DNB in the concerned subject or be MD/MS/DNB qualified graduates in the concerned broad specialty.

The age limit is calculated as on the date of the walk-in interview for the concerned department. Age relaxation is applicable as per Central Government rules in force.
ESIC Senior Resident Salary 2026
Selected Senior Residents under the Clinical and Non-Clinical Residency Scheme will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,50,294/-.
Senior Residents are also entitled to transport allowance and DA on transport allowance as per the applicable rules. For Non-Medical candidates, NPA will be deducted from the consolidated remuneration.

The applicable Rs. 500 fee has to be paid through a Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund Account No. 1, drawn on any scheduled bank and payable at Kolkata. The Demand Draft must be submitted along with the application form at the time of document verification-cum-walk-in interview.
ESIC Senior Resident Selection Process 2026
The recruitment is conducted through a Walk-in Interview. Candidates must report for document verification within the prescribed reporting time.
If the number of candidates is more than the ratio of 1:10 per post, the competent authority may conduct a screening test consisting of multiple-choice questions in the concerned discipline to shortlist candidates for the interview. Marks obtained in the screening test will not be linked to the final selection process. The performance in the interview will be the sole criterion for selection.

How to Apply for ESIC Senior Resident Recruitment 2026
- Download and complete the prescribed application form.
- Prepare the required original documents and one set of self-attested copies.
- Prepare the applicable Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- where required.
- Report to the venue on the applicable walk-in interview date.
- Report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM for document verification.
- Submit the application form and verification slip.
- Appear for the interview as scheduled.
Candidates must bring the application form, verification slip, original documents and one set of self-attested copies. Required documents include NMC/State Medical Council registration, educational qualification certificates/marksheets, experience certificate if applicable, proof of age, caste/category certificate where applicable, Bond Clearance Certificate and two recent passport-size photographs.
Important Instructions
- The engagement is purely contractual.
- The initial tenure is one year and may be extended up to a total of three years subject to satisfactory performance.
- Candidates who have already completed three years as Senior Resident in a Government Institution need not apply.
- Senior Residents already working in a Government Institution can apply after obtaining NOC from the respective institute.
- Private practice of any kind is not allowed.
- No TA/DA is admissible for joining and other purposes.
- Selected candidates have to execute a contract on Rs. 100/- stamp paper.
- A security deposit of Rs. 32,000/- through Demand Draft is required at the time of joining and is refundable subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
- Residential accommodation is subject to availability. If accommodation is provided, HRA will not be allowed.
