APPSC Group 1 Salary 2026
The pay scale varies according to the post. The notified scales range from Rs. 54,060 to Rs. 1,54,980. The highest pay scale of Rs. 65,360 - Rs. 1,54,980 is prescribed for the Divisional Development Officer post.
APPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification 2026
The educational qualification varies according to the post. Several posts require a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
For example, Post Codes 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 and 13 prescribe a relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification. Post Code 04, DSP (Communications), requires B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or Radio Engineering, or an equivalent qualification recognized as prescribed in the notification.

APPSC Group 1 Age Limit 2026
The age requirement varies according to the post. The notification specifies a general minimum age of 18 or 21 years and maximum age of 30 or 44 years, as applicable to the post, calculated as on 01 July 2026.
Age relaxation is available for eligible categories as per the applicable rules. SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates are eligible for 5 years of relaxation, while Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible for 10 years, subject to the conditions in the notification.

The notification specifies an application processing fee of Rs. 250/- and an examination fee of Rs. 120/-. Certain categories are exempted from payment of the examination fee as specified in the notification.
Eligible SC, ST, BC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Ex-Servicemen candidates, among other specified categories, are exempted from the examination fee subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification. The fee is to be paid online through the prescribed payment gateway.
APPSC Group 1 Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of a Screening Test, Main Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
The Screening Test is objective type and will be conducted in offline OMR-based mode. The Main Examination is descriptive in nature.
After the Main Examination, eligible candidates will be called for an Interview/Personality Test in a ratio of 1:2 with reference to the number of vacancies, subject to the prescribed rules.
APPSC Group 1 Exam Date 2026-27
The Screening Test is scheduled to be held on 24 January 2027. The dates for the Main Examination will be announced later by the Commission.
The Screening Test will be conducted at district examination centres. Candidates can choose three preferences for the Screening Test centre. The Main Examination will be conducted at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Anantapuramu, subject to the Commission's provisions.

The recruitment examination follows the Screening Test and Main Examination structure prescribed by the Commission.

- Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question for each wrong answer
- Interview/Personality Test: After the Main Examination
The Commission may apply qualifying standards in the Screening Test for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination.
How to Apply for APPSC Group 1 Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official APPSC website.
- If applying for the first time, complete the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR).
- Obtain the OTPR ID and password.
- Login to the Commission's website using the OTPR credentials.
- Click on the Online Application Submission option.
- Select Notification No. 07/2026 and click the Fill Application option.
- Verify the details displayed from OTPR.
- Enter the required application-specific details.
- Fill in qualification details, post preferences and examination centre preferences.
- Review the complete application carefully.
- Click Save & Submit.
- Complete the online fee payment.
- After successful submission, download the filled application PDF and retain it for future reference.
The Commission specifically states that merely saving the application does not constitute submission. The application is complete only after the candidate uses Save & Submit and successfully completes the payment/submission process.
APPSC Group 1 Application Correction
After successful submission, corrections will be enabled after the last date of application submission and will remain available for 7 days. A fee of Rs. 100/- per correction is applicable during the correction period. Certain fields, including name, fee and age-relaxation-related fields, cannot be changed.
