CWSSU Meghalaya Pay Scale 2026
The pay levels for the advertised teaching posts are based on the State University Pay Scales.

CWSSU Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
The advertisement prescribes different minimum educational and eligibility requirements for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts. Candidates must possess the requisite qualification in the concerned subject on or before the last date fixed for submission of applications.
Professor
- An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject and actively engaged in research.
- A minimum of 10 research publications in Peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- A total Research Score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience at the equivalent level.
OR
An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the concerned subject from an academic institution or industry who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
Associate Professor
- A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.
- A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade point scale in the concerned subject.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
- A minimum of 7 publications in Peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- A total Research Score of 75 as per the criteria given in Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
Assistant Professor
- A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade point scale in the concerned subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
- Relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, is applicable to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- The candidate must have cleared NET/CSIR-NET conducted by UGC-CSIR or SET-NET in the concerned subject.
- Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
