CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru, has released Advertisement No. 13/2026/PS for the engagement of Project Staff in various CSIR-funded, externally funded and other research projects.

A total of 89 temporary project positions have been announced for Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, Project Assistant-I, Project Assistant-II and Senior PAT posts. The available specialisations include Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering and other related disciplines.

The engagement is purely temporary and contractual and will be co-terminus with the concerned project. Eligible Indian nationals can attend the walk-in interviews scheduled between 10 August and 25 August 2026 at CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru.

CSIR NAL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification, specialisation, experience and age eligibility on the date of the concerned walk-in interview.

Only candidates who have completed the required degree or qualification are eligible. Candidates whose final results are awaited cannot attend the interview.

CSIR NAL Project Associate-I Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university.
• Alternatively, a Master’s or Integrated Master’s Degree from a recognised university may be accepted for specified positions.

Electronics Position

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Technology from a recognised university.
• Three years of experience in research and development in industrial, academic or science and technology organisations.
• Alternatively, Master’s or Integrated Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with two years of experience.

• B.E./B.Tech with three years of experience.
• Alternatively, M.E./M.Tech with a valid NET or GATE qualification.
• Ph.D. holders in the relevant field are also eligible.

CSIR NAL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all advertised positions is 35 years.

• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual.
• The appointment will be co-terminus with the concerned project.
• The engagement may be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice or one month’s stipend in lieu of notice.
• The engagement does not provide any right to continuation, absorption or regularisation in CSIR-NAL or CSIR.
• The maximum total duration of engagement in one or more CSIR projects cannot exceed six years.

• CSIR-NAL may prepare a panel of suitable and waitlisted candidates.
• The waiting panel may be used for new or additional project requirements.
• The panel will remain valid for one year from the notification of results or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
• Empanelment does not guarantee engagement.
