CPCL Recruitment 2026 Qualification
The required qualification depends on the apprenticeship category. Candidates must possess the qualification prescribed for the relevant trade or apprenticeship from a recognized institution.
CPCL Trade Apprentice Qualification
For Trade Apprentice (ITI Passed), candidates should have passed Matriculation and completed a regular full-time 2-year ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT in the prescribed trades.
The eligible trades include Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Machinist, Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil), Draughtsman (Mechanical), and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant.
CPCL Laboratory Assistant Qualification
Candidates should have passed B.Sc. Chemistry with Physics, Mathematics or Biology.
CPCL Guest House Service Assistant Qualification
Candidates should be 10th Pass for the Guest House Service Assistant apprenticeship in Food & Beverages for Canteen and Housekeeping.
CPCL Graduate Apprentice Qualification
For the Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice category, candidates should possess a BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA or BBA degree.
For Graduate Apprentice - Secretarial Office Assistant - Oil & Gas, candidates should be graduates in any non-engineering discipline.
CPCL Engineering Graduate Apprentice Qualification
Candidates should possess a BE or B.Tech qualification in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronic & Communication, Instrumentation, Civil, Computer Science, Information Technology, Fire & Safety, or Environment Protection & Safety disciplines.
CPCL Technician Apprentice Qualification
Candidates should possess a Diploma in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronic & Communication or Instrumentation discipline.
CPCL Data Entry Operator Qualification
For the Fresher Apprentice category, candidates should have passed Class 12th and should be below graduate level.
For the Skilled Certificate Holder category, candidates should have passed Class 12th and should possess a Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year, issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government.

For apprentices engaged under NATS, 50% of the total stipend will be paid through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) by the Government.
CPCL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
Candidates should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 26 years as on 01 October 2026.
Age relaxation will be provided according to the applicable Presidential Directives on Reservation.
CPCL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must have obtained the prescribed educational qualification from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must have registered on the applicable NAPS or NATS Apprenticeship Portal.
- The apprenticeship portal profile must be completed 100%.
- No equivalent qualification other than the qualifications specifically mentioned will be considered.
- Only candidates who passed their final examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
- Candidates must have obtained First Class in the qualifying examination with a minimum of 60% marks.
- The minimum qualifying marks are 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
- Candidates who have undergone a job elsewhere for one year or more are not eligible.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 NATS DBT Requirement
Candidates applying under the NATS portal must have an active Aadhaar-seeded bank account that is enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as per Government of India norms.
The required bank account details have to be submitted during the application process.
