Central Bank of India Samajik Utthan Avam Prashikshan Sansthan (CBI-SUAPS), a Society/Trust sponsored by Central Bank of India, has invited applications for the engagement of Counsellors for Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs) on a contractual basis for the year 2026-2027.

The engagement is for Financial Literacy Centres located in Balrampur, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB), Surajpur and Surguja districts of Chhattisgarh. District-wise Counsellor Engagement

Experience and Other Eligibility Requirements

  • Retired/VRS opted Bank Officials of Scale I and above from Nationalized Banks, including State Bank of India and Regional Rural Banks, are preferred.
  • Ex-servicemen and candidates other than Bank employees, such as Government School Teachers, may also be considered if they have banking knowledge, knowledge of financial services and have completed the relevant IIBF certification course.
  • The applicant should have an unblemished service record.
  • The applicant should possess a Service Certificate from the previous employer.
  • The candidate should have experience as an officer/permanent employee for 10 years.
  • The candidate should be a resident of the same State, preferably from the same or nearby district of the FLC.

Contract Period and Renewal

The selected candidate will be appointed on a contract basis for one year.

Renewal may be considered at the sole discretion of the Bank in accordance with its applicable policies and rules.

For renewal, the candidate has to submit a Performance Appraisal to the concerned Regional Manager one month before expiry of the contract.

Renewal will also depend on performance under the prescribed parameters. The notice states that renewal is the sole prerogative of the Bank and will be considered keeping in view the minimum "B" grading of the RSETI Centre as per the parameters prescribed by the Government of India.

Salary and Other Allowances

For the Financial Literacy Centre Counsellor position, the candidate will be eligible for:

Job Profile of FLC Counsellor

The selected officers will work as "Counsellor-FLCs" and will be responsible for overseeing the overall functioning of the Financial Literacy Centre.

CBI-SUAPS works through RSETI and FLCC centres to promote financial literacy and support awareness among rural communities. The Counsellor-FLC role is therefore connected with the functioning of the Financial Literacy Centre in the assigned district.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be called for a Personal Interview.

The decision of the Bank regarding the interview will be final. Merely submitting an application or apparently fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be called for the interview.
