Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University (BKNMU), Junagadh, has invited applications for Teaching cum Academic and Non-Teaching/Administrative posts through Advertisement Nos. BKNMU/8/2026, BKNMU/9/2026 and BKNMU/10/2026. BKNMU Librarian Recruitment 2026

Advertisement No. BKNMU/8/2026 is for one Librarian post in the General category. The post carries Pay Level 14 with a pay range of ₹1,44,200 to ₹2,18,200.

Librarian Eligibility

• Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
• At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in a University Library, or 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science, or 10 years' experience as a College Librarian.
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in a library.
• Ph.D. Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation, Archives and Manuscript-Keeping.

The maximum age for the Librarian post is 57 years with applicable relaxations.

BKNMU Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026

Internal Audit Officer

The Internal Audit Officer post carries Pay Level 11 with a pay range of ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700. The maximum age is 45 years with applicable age relaxation.

Candidates must have either a Degree of Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree from a recognized university, or M.Com with 55% marks with Advanced Accountancy/Auditing. The candidate must also have five years' experience as a Chartered Accountant or five years' experience at Class-I/Level-10 in Government Accounts Services or an equivalent post in the university system. A basic computer applications certificate is also required.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

The Assistant Engineer (Electrical) post is at Pay Level 8 with a pay range of ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400. The maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with two years of post-qualification experience in supervision of erection/maintenance of electrical works with Government, Universities, Autonomous Organizations or the Private Sector.

Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and five years of relevant post-qualification experience may apply. A basic computer applications certificate is also required.

Assistant Civil Engineer

The Assistant Civil Engineer post carries Pay Level 8 and a pay range of ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400. The maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with two years of post-qualification experience in supervision of erection/maintenance of civil works, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with five years of relevant post-qualification experience. A basic computer applications certificate is also required.

Lab Assistant (Chemistry)

The Lab Assistant (Chemistry) post is at Pay Level 4 with a pay range of ₹25,500 – ₹81,100. A fixed salary of ₹26,000 per month applies for the first five years. The maximum age is 40 years.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and related subjects, along with at least three years of laboratory work experience in Chemistry and related subjects after graduation. A basic computer applications certificate is also required.

Assistant Registrar

The Assistant Registrar post is at Pay Level 9 with a pay range of ₹53,100 – ₹1,67,800. The maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates must have a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. A certificate of basic knowledge of computer applications from a recognized institute is also required.

Store Keeper

The Store Keeper post is reserved for PwBD (Lv) and carries Pay Level 5 with a pay range of ₹29,200 – ₹92,300. A fixed salary of ₹40,800 per month applies for the first five years. The maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institute, three years' experience in procurement and maintenance of stores and a basic computer applications certificate.

System Analyst

The System Analyst post carries Pay Level 9 with a pay range of ₹53,100 – ₹1,67,800. One post is available in the General category and the maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates must meet either of the following qualification and experience combinations:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics Engineering with three years of programming experience in languages such as C, C++ and Java, along with relevant database and Windows/Linux/Unix platform experience.
• M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics Engineering, M.Sc. Computer Science or MCA with one year of relevant programming experience, including the prescribed database and platform experience.

Senior Clerk

The Senior Clerk post carries Pay Level 4 with a pay range of ₹25,500 – ₹81,100. The fixed salary is ₹26,000 per month for the first five years. One post is available under PwBD (B,Lv) and the maximum age is 40 years.

Candidates must be graduates from a recognized university and have at least three years of clerical/administrative experience after graduation. A certificate of basic knowledge of computer applications from a recognized institute is also required.

Junior Clerk

Two Junior Clerk posts are available under the SEBC and ST categories. The post carries Pay Level 2 with a pay range of ₹19,900 – ₹63,200, with a fixed salary of ₹26,000 per month for the first five years. The maximum age is 35 years.

Candidates must have graduation or an equivalent academic qualification from a UGC-recognized university along with the prescribed basic computer applications certificate.

The prescribed application fee is:

• Unreserved Category: ₹1,500/-
• SC/ST/SEBC/EWS: ₹750/-
• PwBD: Exempted from the prescribed fee on submission of a valid Disability Certificate, subject to the conditions specified in the advertisement.

The fee must be paid online. The transaction receipt and applicable reserved-category certificate must be attached with the hard copy of the application.

SEBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued between 01 April 2024 and 16 October 2026. EWS candidates must submit a valid EWS Certificate issued between 17 October 2023 and 16 October 2026.

The application fee is non-refundable and applicable bank/payment service charges are to be borne by the candidate.

Important Application Instructions

• Experience gained as Daily Wager, Trainee, Honorary, Adhoc or Visiting Faculty will not be considered as experience.
• Candidates claiming experience must submit the prescribed experience certificate and supporting salary documents.
• Original certificates and testimonials must be produced when required for interview/document verification.
• No Travelling Allowance will be paid for attending a written test or interview.

Selection Process

The selection procedure varies according to the post. The University has specified that selection for the Librarian post will be conducted according to the applicable UGC Regulations, 2018 and University rules.

For the non-teaching posts under BKNMU/9/2026 and BKNMU/10/2026, the University may use written tests, interviews, merit/aptitude tests or other shortlisting methods as applicable.

If the number of applicants exceeds six for posts at Level 8 and above, a written test will be conducted. Based on written-test merit, the top six candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

For Senior Clerk and Junior Clerk, only a written test will be conducted. The syllabus and examination pattern will be published on the University website.

Call letters and other correspondence will be sent through email and/or displayed on the University website. Candidates must therefore provide a valid email ID while applying.
