BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MBBS Degree from a recognized institution.
• Candidate must be registered with the Punjab Medical Council or any duly constituted Medical Council in India.
• Knowledge of Punjabi Language up to Matriculation standard or equivalent is required.

Candidates who do not possess Punjabi language qualification must acquire it within six months of joining service, failing which their services may be terminated.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 37 Years (as on 01 January 2026)
• SC/BC Candidates: 5 years relaxation
• Physically Handicapped Candidates: 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Punjab Government rules
• Punjab Government and Central/State Government employees: Relaxation up to 45 years

The selection process will be based on a written examination conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

Candidates securing minimum 33% marks in the written test will be considered eligible. Final selection will be based on written examination merit and applicable reservation rules.

Selected candidates will receive pay as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. The initial pay scale is Level-9 with a starting pay of ₹53,100/- per month.
