The recruitment is for experienced engineering and management professionals across areas including futuristic product innovation, rolling stock manufacturing, metro business development, engine design, engine testing and calibration, project/contract management, bogie design, air supply and brake systems, railway rolling stock doors, and crash simulation.

Post-wise Eligibility and Experience
1. Chief General Manager - FPI&IC
Position Code: 101 | Vacancy: 1 (UR)
Candidates must possess a full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or EEE Engineering and a Master's degree such as M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics subjects from a recognized university or institution.
A Master's Degree in Design or Ph.D. in relevant Engineering fields is desirable.
The candidate must have 21 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 10 years of experience in the R&D domain.
Experience in high mobility and armoured vehicles, UAVs, UGVs, autonomous systems, passenger rolling stock/EMUs, AI, robotics, sensors, power systems, propulsion systems or mining equipment is desirable. Experience in rapid prototyping, homologation, field data analytics and relevant international standards will be an added advantage.
The selected executive will head BEML's Futuristic Product Innovation and Incubation Centre and will work on long-term technology roadmaps, product development, rapid prototyping, homologation, reliability analysis, engineering teams, project execution, research publications and intellectual property activities.
2. Chief General Manager - Rolling Stock Manufacturing

A full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institution is mandatory. A PG Degree/PG Diploma in Engineering or Management and Project Management certification are desirable.
Candidates must have 21 years of post-qualification experience in an engineering organization, including at least 10 years in Rolling Stock Manufacturing functions.
Experience in R&D, planning, production, testing, application engineering or marketing in the Rail and Metro sector is desirable.
The role involves heading BEML's Rail Coach business unit, production and sales, project management, execution, safety, quality systems and modern manufacturing systems related to rolling stock manufacturing.
3. General Manager - Metro Business Development

Candidates must have a full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Transportation Engineering from a recognized university/institution. An MBA in Marketing is desirable.
The required experience is 19 years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 10 years in Business Development and Marketing of large infrastructure projects in the Rolling Stock/Metro sector.
The position requires knowledge of the Metro rail infrastructure sector, business development, public procurement, tenders, BOT/EPC/PPP models, GeM, commercial activities, CRM, business forecasting, strategic partnerships and coordination with stakeholders.
4. Deputy General Manager - Engine Design

A full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university/institution is mandatory. PG Degree/PG Diploma in Engineering/Management and Project Management certification are desirable.
Candidates must have a minimum of 16 years of post-qualification experience, including 8 years in Design and Development related to Engines.
Experience in diesel engine design and development, engine aggregates, CRDI systems, after-treatment systems, turbochargers, simulation tools, engine testing, GD&T, 3D design software, manufacturing processes and PLM systems is desirable.
The position involves leading design and development engineers working on heavy-duty diesel engines, component evaluation, application engineering, vehicle integration, testing, design documentation and FMEA activities.
5. Deputy General Manager - Engine, Testing and Calibration

Candidates must possess a full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical, Thermal or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university/institution. PG Degree/PG Diploma in Engineering/Management and Project Management certification are desirable.

Experience in engine product development, combustion, performance and emission, engine hardware selection, after-treatment integration and emission regulations is desirable.

6. Assistant General Manager - Project/Contract Management

7. Assistant Manager - R&D (Rolling Stock - Bogie)

Candidates must have a full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical, Production or Railway Engineering from a recognized university/institution. M.E./M.Tech in relevant areas is desirable.
A minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in rolling stock such as metro, high-speed or mainline trains is required, including at least 2 years related to bogie design, manufacturing, testing or maintenance.
Experience in CATIA V5, AutoCAD, stainless steel, Corten steel, dissimilar metal welding, FEA, multibody simulation tools and vibration analysis is desirable.
The role includes design, development and testing of bogie frames and bogies for high-speed trains, 3D CAD modelling, manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, type testing, static and fatigue testing, safety certification and homologation.
8. Assistant Manager - R&D (Rolling Stock - Air Supply & Brake System)

A full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institution is mandatory.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years of relevant experience in the design of Air Supply and Brake Systems of railway rolling stock.
Experience in CATIA V5 and AutoCAD is desirable.
The position involves designing and developing mechanical, pneumatic and/or electropneumatic brake systems for rolling stock, preparing CAD models and drawings, technical documentation, procurement specifications, customer approvals, system integration, testing, validation and application of relevant railway, EN and UIC standards.
9. Engineer - R&D (Rolling Stock - Doors)

Candidates must have a full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Rail Vehicle Technology from a recognized university/institution. M.E./M.Tech in relevant areas is desirable.
A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in the design of door systems of railway rolling stock is required.
Experience in 3D/2D CATIA V5 and AutoCAD is desirable.
The role includes design and development of exterior entrance doors, interior doors and fire end wall doors for high-speed rail projects, along with preparation of 3D models, 2D drawings, technical design documents and operation and maintenance manuals.
10. Engineer - Rolling Stock Crash Simulation

A full-time First Class Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university/institution is required. M.E./M.Tech in relevant areas is desirable.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in railway rolling stock companies in the field of crashworthiness and crash energy management.
Experience in crash simulation for railway rolling stock, high-speed rail or metros and expertise in FEA tools such as Altair HyperWorks, HyperMesh, OptiStruct, Radioss or LS-Dyna are desirable.
The role covers crash energy management, crashworthiness analysis, numerical modelling, crash simulations, post-processing, technical documentation, collision simulations and design improvements for crash-absorbing devices and supporting structures.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for Variable Dearness Allowance, applicable perquisites and allowances, company accommodation or HRA, Provident Fund, Gratuity and PRP as per the prevailing BEML rules. The advertisement states that the applicable cafeteria perquisites and allowances are currently 15.12% of the applicable Basic Pay.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The age, qualification and experience must be as on 07 October 2026.
- Grade-II Engineer: maximum 29 years
- Grade-III Assistant Manager: maximum 30 years
- Grade-VI Assistant General Manager: maximum 42 years
- Grade-VII Deputy General Manager: maximum 45 years
- Grade-VIII General Manager: maximum 48 years
- Grade-IX Chief General Manager: maximum 51 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India guidelines. The relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates. PwD candidates are eligible for an additional 10 years of relaxation, subject to a minimum of 40% disability.
The upper age may also be relaxed against equivalent excess post-qualification experience, subject to the conditions specified in the advertisement. The maximum age after such relaxation cannot exceed 57 years.
Educational Qualification Requirement
For positions where First Class is prescribed, BEML considers First Class as 60% aggregate marks across all semesters/years. The qualifying marks may be relaxed by 5% for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
Candidates whose qualification is based on CGPA or credits must provide the applicable conversion formula to percentage according to their university norms.
Application Fee
Eligible and interested GEN, EWS and OBC candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500/- through the online payment facility provided at the end of the application form.
The application fee is not applicable to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Important Conditions for Experienced Candidates
- Only Indian Nationals may apply.
