Qualification for PwBD Trainee Posts
Operator (Chemical) Trainee
Candidates should have a B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks, or B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry with minimum 50% marks. The selected candidate will undergo a minimum of one year of training with a stipend of Rs. 21,000/-.
Technician (Mechanical) Trainee
Candidates should have Matriculation plus ITI Tradesmanship or National Apprenticeship Certificate in Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Machinist or Turner trade. The trainee period will be a minimum of one year with a stipend of Rs. 21,000/-.
Accounts Assistant Trainee
Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (B.Com.) with minimum 50% marks and a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English on computer. Candidates should also be proficient in personal computer operations. The training period will be a minimum of one year with a stipend of Rs. 21,000/-.
Cut-Off Date and Qualification Rules
The cut-off date for determining the age limit and post-qualification experience is 9 October 2026.
- The prescribed educational qualification must be possessed as specified against the respective post.
- Full-time, part-time and Open and Distance Learning qualifications approved by AICTE and UGC will be considered as prescribed.
- Qualifications must be from the applicable recognized university, institution or statutory council.
- Technical diploma qualifications should be recognized by the respective State Board of Technical Education.
- ITI/NAC qualifications should be recognized by SCTVT/NCTVT.
- Where CGPA, DGPA, OGPA or letter grades are awarded, candidates must indicate the equivalent percentage according to the norms of the concerned University/Institute and provide documentary proof when required.
- Post-qualification experience must have been acquired after passing the respective qualifying course.
- Industrial, vocational or apprentice training forming part of a course under the Apprentices Act or similar statutory Acts will not be counted as work experience.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The upper age limit is 32 years for S-5 posts and 30 years for S-3 posts, subject to the applicable category-wise relaxations.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation.
- OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 years relaxation.
- PwBD-General/EWS candidates: 10 years relaxation.
- PwBD-OBC (NCL) candidates: 13 years relaxation.
- PwBD-SC/ST candidates: 15 years relaxation.
- Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1 January 1980 and 31 December 1989: 5 years relaxation.
- Eligible Ex-servicemen may deduct their qualifying period of Armed Forces service from their actual age, subject to the conditions specified in the advertisement.
- The maximum upper age after all applicable relaxations cannot exceed 56 years.
The relaxation in upper age for SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates is applicable to the relevant reserved posts. PwBD age relaxation applies where the post is identified as suitable for the concerned PwBD category.
BCPL Salary and Benefits
The S-5 posts carry a pay scale of Rs. 28,500-86,570/-, while the S-3 posts carry a pay scale of Rs. 25,000-81,430/-. The PwBD-reserved trainee posts carry a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- during the minimum one-year training period.
Selected candidates will initially be placed on one year of probation and will receive basic pay in the corresponding pay scale along with Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA). Other applicable benefits include perquisites at 35% of basic pay, North-East allowance at 10% of basic pay when posted in the North-East region, HRA, Conveyance Maintenance Expenses Reimbursement (CMER), medical facility, Post Retirement Medical Scheme (PRMS) and Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (DCPS), subject to company rules.
Application Fee
General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 200/-.
SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee, subject to submission of the required certificates in the prescribed format during the further selection process.
The fee must be paid online through the payment gateway integrated with the application. Any applicable transaction charges will be borne by the candidate. Once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded or kept in reserve for another examination or selection.

Experience Certificate Requirements
BCPL has specified the documents that will be accepted as proof of experience. For past employment, an appointment letter showing the date of joining along with an acceptance of resignation letter, relieving order or last pay slip may be submitted. Alternatively, an experience letter containing roles and responsibilities, issuing authority details, joining date and relieving date may be accepted.
For current employment, an appointment letter showing the joining date along with documents such as an employer-issued identity card, annual increment letter, promotion/transfer order or an appropriate experience letter with the latest pay slip may be required.
In the absence of the required appointment/experience documentation, roles and responsibilities details and latest pay slip, the candidature may be rejected.
Selection Process
BCPL may conduct a single-stage or multiple-stage selection process depending on the number of candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria. If applications are received in large numbers, BCPL may shortlist candidates by raising the minimum eligibility standards.

The exact applicable selection stages will be communicated before the selection process begins. BCPL has stated that the selection process mentioned in the advertisement is tentative and may vary depending on administrative or business requirements and Government of India directives.
Mere possession of the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee participation in the further selection process. Only shortlisted candidates who are found apparently eligible based on the online application will be called.
Medical Fitness Requirements
Appointment is subject to the candidate being medically fit according to the standards prescribed by BCPL for the relevant post. Candidates appointed to the company will be required to obtain medical reports in the prescribed format from a Central/State Government Hospital, BCPL-authorized hospital or Civil Surgeon.
For technical officers, total myopia including cylinder should not exceed (-)4.00D, and total hypermetropia including cylinder should not exceed (+)4.00D in each eye. For non-technical officers, total myopia should not exceed (-)8.00D, while total hypermetropia should not exceed (+)6.00D for candidates above 20 years of age.
Important Instructions for BCPL Applicants
- Only one post can be selected by a candidate.
- Details entered in the online application are final and binding.
- The candidate's name should be entered exactly as it appears in the SSC/Matriculation Certificate.
- Changes to the mailing address, email ID, category or post selected in the application will not be entertained.
- The registered email ID should remain active for at least one year.
