Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026: Bank of India (BOI), a leading Public Sector Bank headquartered in Mumbai, has released Project No. 2026-27/02 for recruitment of Specialist Officers in various streams up to Scale IV. A total of 205 vacancies have been announced across JMGS-I, MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV.

Bank of India SO Qualification 2026

The educational qualification, mandatory professional certifications, work experience and specific skill requirements are different for each of the 48 notified post categories.

SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates applying against vacancies reserved for their respective category are eligible for a 5% relaxation in educational qualification marks wherever a minimum of 60% marks is prescribed.

Bank of India CGPA and Percentage Rule 2026

Candidates should enter their graduation percentage to the nearest two decimal places in the online application.

  • Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, it should be converted into percentage according to the norms of the concerned University.
  • Fractional marks will not be rounded up.
  • 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.
  • 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

Can Candidates Apply for More Than One BOI SO Post?

No. The notification states that a candidate can apply for only one post.

If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid completed application will be retained. Application fee / intimation charges paid for other registrations will be forfeited.

The post-wise age limit varies from 21 years to 42 years. Age will be determined as on 01 August 2026.

Horizontal reservation is available for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities in identified posts.

Only candidates having not less than 40% benchmark disability are eligible to claim PwBD reservation, subject to the suitability of the notified post and production of the prescribed disability certificate.

Eligible candidates using a scribe are entitled to compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of examination, subject to the applicable Government guidelines and registration of the requirement in the online application.

BOI SO Tie-Breaking Rule 2026

If two or more candidates obtain equal combined final marks:

  1. The candidate obtaining higher marks in the Online Examination will be ranked higher.
  2. If Online Examination marks are also equal, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.

If selection is conducted only through Interview, candidates securing equal Interview marks will be ranked according to Date of Birth, with the older candidate placed higher.
