Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on the date of the advertisement.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed at least the 10th Standard from a recognized Board.
Nationality
Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.
Sports Qualification
Applicants should be eligible local club-level players who meet any of the prescribed sports achievement criteria. Candidates may qualify if they have:
- Represented a State/UT or the country in a National or International competition.
- Won a medal in Junior National Championships.
- Won a medal in Khelo India Youth Games for the relevant age category above 18 years.
- Won a medal in Khelo India Winter Games.
- Won a medal in Khelo India University Games.
- Won a medal in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) competitions.
- Represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards.
- Represented the State/UT School Team in the National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation.
The sports qualification must relate to the particular game or sport for which the candidate is applying.

Applicants must submit certificates issued by the competent authority as proof of their sports credentials.

Bank of Baroda Guest Player Salary
Selected Guest Players will receive a monthly retainership/stipend of ₹25,000/-, along with other financial benefits, if any, admissible under the Bank's extant Sports Policy.
The engagement will be for 12 months. Selected players will be required to represent Bank of Baroda in tournaments and events whenever called upon during the period of engagement.
The engagement is purely temporary and contractual. It does not create an employer-employee relationship for regular employment and does not provide any right or entitlement to regular appointment or absorption in Bank of Baroda.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of scrutiny/shortlisting of applications followed by Field Trials for eligible applicants.

The minimum qualifying marks are 50 out of 100 marks. A merit list of eligible applicants will be prepared in descending order of marks, and final selection will be made according to the merit list up to the number of vacancies.

Field Trials
Eligible applicants will be called for Field Trials at a designated venue in Mumbai. The date, time and venue will be communicated separately to eligible applicants through the email ID provided in the application.
Candidates must attend the Field Trials at their own cost. Requests for changing the date, time or venue will ordinarily not be entertained.
Applicants appearing for the Field Trials must bring their recent passport-size photograph and original certificates/documents relating to age, educational qualification, sports achievements and identity, along with self-attested copies.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
If candidates obtain equal marks, preference will be given according to the sports representation and achievement criteria specified by Bank of Baroda.
- Candidates who have represented the country in an International Competition with clearance from the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Candidates who have represented a State/UT in Senior or Junior National Championships or National Games and secured medals or positions up to third place.
- Candidates who have represented a University in Inter-University competitions or Khelo India University Games and secured medals or positions up to third place in finals.
- Candidates who have represented a State/UT in Khelo India Youth Games or Khelo India Winter Games and secured medals or positions up to third place in finals.
- Candidates who have represented State/UT Schools in National Sports/Games for Schools and secured medals or positions up to third place.
- Candidates who represented the relevant State/UT, University or School teams but did not win a medal or position, in the specified order of preference.
If the tie continues, candidates securing a higher position or more than one medal will receive preference. If the tie still persists, the younger candidate will be given preference.

Local Club Details
The application form requires candidates to provide details of their current local club/team, including:
- Name of the local club/team currently represented.
- Club/team location.
- Mumbai Cricket Association Registration Number for Cricket applicants.
- Table Tennis Federation of India ID for Table Tennis applicants.
- Period of association with the club/team.
- Name and contact details of the coach/club official.
Important Instructions
- The selected Guest Players will be engaged for 12 months.
- The engagement is temporary and contractual in nature.
- Selected players must represent Bank of Baroda whenever and wherever required during the engagement period.
- Candidature remains provisional until eligibility and original documents are verified.
- The Bank may modify the number of Guest Players, role requirements, eligibility requirements or selection process according to its requirements.
- The Bank may cancel the engagement or selection process wholly or partly at any stage.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Selected players must remain physically fit to participate in tournaments/events during the retainership period.
- Subsequent announcements, corrigenda or addenda will be communicated through the approved Bank channels.
