Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters, Northern Region has released Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR for engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
A total of 205 tentative apprenticeship seats have been announced, including 80 Graduate Apprentice seats, 65 Diploma Apprentice seats and 60 ITI Trade Apprentice seats. The apprenticeship training will be conducted for a period of one year at various Airports Authority of India establishments and airports in the Northern Region.
Only eligible Indian nationals domiciled in Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand can apply. Graduate Apprentice Stipend Breakup

AAI Apprentice Age Relaxation 2026
Relaxation in the upper age limit for eligible categories such as SC, ST, OBC and PwBD will be applicable according to Government of India guidelines.
AAI Apprentice Training Period 2026
The apprenticeship training period for Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices will be 12 months from commencement of the apprenticeship contract.

Previous Apprenticeship Eligibility Conditions
Candidates are not eligible if they:
- Have already completed apprenticeship training with the same qualification level.
- Terminated an apprenticeship midway.
- Are currently undergoing apprenticeship in another organisation or AAI with the same qualification level.
- Have already undergone apprenticeship training / job experience for one year or more after acquiring the essential qualification.
AAI Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The provisional selection of candidates will primarily be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

AAI Apprentice Merit List 2026
Candidates will initially be shortlisted on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the relevant qualifying examination.

AAI Apprentice Tie-Breaking Rule 2026
If two or more candidates obtain an equal percentage of marks, the notification provides the following criteria for deciding seniority:

AAI Apprentice APAAR ID Requirement
The NATS registration manual states that APAAR ID is mandatory. Candidates must fetch their APAAR ID using the facility provided through DigiLocker.
If a candidate does not have an APAAR ID, it can be created through the ABC portal according to the instructions provided in the NATS manual.

AAI Apprentice Registration Contract 2026
Selected apprentices must sign and accept the apprenticeship training contract through the applicable NATS / NAPS portal immediately after joining Airports Authority of India.
AAI Apprentice Contract Termination
The apprenticeship contract will automatically cease after completion of the stipulated 12-month training period.
Any act of indiscipline by an apprentice during training may lead to cancellation of the contract and discontinuation of apprenticeship.
AAI Apprentice Reservation 2026
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates will be followed as applicable.
If suitable candidates are unavailable in a reserved category, the seat may be filled from other reserved categories / General category according to the conditions stated in the notification.
AAI Apprentice TA / DA 2026
No TA / DA will be provided to candidates for attending the Interview / Document Verification process.
AAI Apprentice Employment After Training
Completion of apprenticeship training does not provide any right to regular employment in Airports Authority of India.
AAI has no obligation to provide a permanent job to an apprentice after completion of training, and candidates cannot claim regular employment merely because they have completed apprenticeship training with AAI.
AAI Apprentice One Discipline Application Rule
Candidates should apply for only one discipline.
Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and their applications will be rejected.
