Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be serving male or female combatised Constable Tradesmen such as Tailor, Cobbler, Cook, Barber, Washerman, Safaiwala, Gardener, Water Carrier, Waiter, Helper, or CT Orderlies of SSB.
- Candidates must have completed a minimum of 3 years of regular service in SSB as on 01 January 2026.
- The essential educational qualification is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or institute.
- The candidate must have latest medical category SHAPE-I.
- The candidate must have a clean service record in the preceding 3 years for vacancy year 2026.
- APAR grading for the years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 should not be below the Good benchmark, meaning not below 04 numbers in APAR.
- The cut-off date for determining eligibility is 01 January 2026.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for appearing in recruitment for the post of CT GD through remusteration is below 35 years for UR and OBC category candidates as on 01 January 2026. A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is allowed for SC and ST candidates.
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for CT GD through remusteration will be conducted in multiple stages.
1. Physical Standard Test (PST)
All candidates issued admit cards will have to undergo Physical Standard Test followed by biometric identification.

- Height and chest measurements will be recorded up to one decimal place.
- Weight is not a disqualification criterion at PST stage, but BMI during Detailed Medical Examination should be in the normal range of 18 to 25.
- Candidates declared disqualified in PST can appeal for re-measurement of height and chest only.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

- PST and PET are mandatory and qualifying in nature only.
- They do not carry any marks.
- Female candidates have to submit a self-declaration regarding pregnancy status before PST and PET.
3. Written Examination
- The written exam will be of 2 hours duration.
- It will carry 100 marks with 100 multiple-choice objective questions.
- Questions will cover General Awareness, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, ability to observe and distinguish patterns, and basic knowledge of English and Hindi.
- The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi.
- Minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General category candidates and 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
4. Documentation and Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Candidates shortlisted for DME must produce all original documents and certificates mentioned in the application form.
- Failure to produce original documents will lead to rejection of candidature.
- DME will be conducted only for those who score above the cut-off marks in the written examination.
5. Review Medical Examination (RME)
- Candidates declared unfit in DME can submit consent in writing within 24 hours for Review Medical Examination.
- RME will preferably be conducted the next day of DME.
- The decision of the Review Medical Examination Board will be final.
Final Selection
After document verification, DME and RME, the final selection list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. Merely qualifying in the written exam and medical test does not guarantee final selection. Final cut-off marks will depend on the number of vacancies in each category.
- If two or more candidates secure equal marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in merit.
- If the tie still remains, the candidate with longer service in SSB will be placed higher.

- Attach passport-size self-attested photograph and all required documents.
- Submit the completed application to your respective unit within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement.
- Ensure that No Objection Certificate, Service Certificate, DE/Vigilance Certificate and Checklist are enclosed.
