LAHDC KSSRB Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
Domicile Requirement
The candidate must be a resident of Kargil District, read as Erstwhile District Kargil, and must possess a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable Ladakh domicile rules.
Educational Qualification
The qualification varies according to the post. Candidates must acquire the prescribed essential qualification by the closing date of application, 27 November 2026. Candidates whose final examination results are still awaited on the crucial date are not eligible.
Examples of qualifications specified in Annexure-XVI include:
- Laboratory Assistant: 10+2 with Science along with a minimum six-month Diploma or Certificate Course in Laboratory Science.
- Library Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Graduation with a minimum one-year Diploma in Library Science.

The written examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Depending on the decision of LAHDC-KSSRB, the examination may be conducted through CBT, TBT or OMR mode.

The examination duration is 1 hour 30 minutes. Candidates eligible for a scribe will receive 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer, and the examination medium will be English.
Minimum Qualifying Marks

LAHDC KSSRB Recruitment 2026 Syllabus
The syllabus will be based on the essential qualification required for the respective post. The notification provides indicative syllabi at Matriculation, 10+2 and Graduate levels.
General Intelligence
The syllabus includes verbal and non-verbal reasoning topics such as analogy, classification, series, coding-decoding, problem solving, spatial orientation, figure classification, Venn diagrams, drawing inferences, critical thinking and related reasoning topics.
General Awareness
Questions cover current events, India and neighbouring countries, history, culture, geography, economic developments, general polity, Indian Constitution and scientific research.
Quantitative Aptitude
Topics include number systems, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, time and distance, time and work, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, tables, graphs and statistical charts.
English Language
The English section covers grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, error detection, fill in the blanks, spelling, idioms and phrases, one-word substitution, sentence improvement, active and passive voice, direct and indirect narration, cloze passages and comprehension.
LAHDC KSSRB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Recruitment will be conducted through a written examination consisting of objective multiple-choice questions. Selection will be made according to the applicable Ladakh Reservation rules. The Board will recommend shortlisted candidates to the concerned departments based on merit and the preferences obtained from candidates.

LAHDC KSSRB Document Verification
Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for document verification based on their written examination score and merit. For posts with up to five vacancies in a category, candidates may be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:20. For posts with more than five vacancies, the ratio is generally 1:10 subject to a minimum of 100 candidates, although the Board may alter the ratio depending on departmental requirements.
Shortlisted candidates must produce the required original certificates and documents. The candidature remains provisional until the eligibility and documents are verified.

The examination centres will be established only in Kargil, Drass, Zanskar and Sankoo. The Board reserves the right to divert candidates to another centre depending on operational requirements.
