Accounts Officer
The qualification is Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in any discipline, or MBA/equivalent in Finance from a recognised institution, or CA/ICWA as specified in the advertisement.
The experience requirement is 10 years for graduates, 5 years for postgraduates or 2 years for MBA Finance candidates. Experience should be in Finance & Accounts, auditing, finalisation of accounts, staff benefits, income-tax TDS, GST and related work at supervisory level.
Purchase & Stores Officer
Candidates should possess a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in any discipline, or MBA/equivalent in Material Management from a recognised institution.
The prescribed experience is 10 years for graduates, 5 years for postgraduates or 2 years for MBA Material Management candidates. Relevant experience should include procurement of goods/services, import, local purchase or stores management at supervisory level.
Junior Personal Assistant
The minimum educational qualification is 12th pass from a recognised board. Candidates must also meet the prescribed stenography requirements, including dictation at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes and computer transcription of 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi.
Technical Assistant
Technical Assistant candidates generally require a First Class three-year full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institute/university/board, along with 2 years of post-qualification experience in an R&D institute, reputed organisation or industry as required for the post.
For Electronics, a First Class B.Sc. in Electronics is also accepted. For Computer Science, a First Class BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science is also accepted. Physics and Chemistry require a First Class B.Sc. in the respective discipline.
Technician 'B'
For Technician 'B', candidates generally require Matriculation/SSLC plus two years ITI from recognised NCVT institutions in the relevant trade, or Matriculation/SSLC with the prescribed National Apprenticeship Certificate/National Trade Certificate route in the relevant trade.

SCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process depends on the post. Administrative Officer, Accounts Officer and Purchase & Stores Officer are selected through Computer Based Test and Personal Interview. Junior Personal Assistant is selected through Computer Based Test and Stenography Skill Test. Technical Assistant and Technician 'B' are selected through Computer Based Test and Curriculum-Based Skill Test.
Administrative Officer, Accounts Officer and Purchase & Stores Officer
The selection consists of CBT followed by Personal Interview. Candidates are shortlisted for interview based on CBT performance, generally in the ratio of 1:5 with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies.
Junior Personal Assistant
Junior Personal Assistant selection consists of CBT followed by a Stenography Skill Test. The skill test includes shorthand dictation of 800 words at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes, followed by computer transcription.
Technical Assistant and Technician 'B'
Technical Assistant and Technician 'B' candidates undergo CBT followed by a trade-wise curriculum-based skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature and operates on a go/no-go basis. Marks obtained in the skill test are not added to the selection merit; final selection is based on CBT marks among candidates who qualify the skill test.

SCL Recruitment 2026 Exam Centres
The Computer Based Test will be conducted at metropolitan cities including New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Skill Test and Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates will be conducted at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh. Can I Apply for More Than One SCL Post?
The rules differ according to the post category. A candidate cannot apply for more than one Administrative Post. Eligible candidates can apply for both Technical Assistant and Technician 'B', subject to the prescribed conditions, but they must submit separate applications and pay the applicable examination fee separately. The CBTs for Technical Assistant and Technician 'B' will be conducted separately.
