Educational Qualification

Professor

• Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science / Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science / Fisheries Science in concerned discipline.
• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
• Ph.D Degree in concerned or allied subject.
• Minimum 10 years teaching / research / extension experience.
• Minimum 10 research publications in NAAS rated / UGC listed journals.
• Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory.

Associate Professor

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
• Ph.D Degree in concerned or allied subject.
• Minimum 8 years teaching / research / extension experience.
• Minimum 7 publications in NAAS rated / UGC listed journals.
• Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory.

Assistant Professor

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates should have cleared NET / SLET / SET.
• Ph.D candidates are exempted from NET as per UGC regulations.
• Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory.

Kannada Language Requirement

• Candidates who have not studied Kannada as first, second or third language in SSLC must qualify in Kannada language test.
• The Kannada test will carry 150 marks.
• Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in the Kannada language paper.
