DRDO ITR Apprentice Qualification 2026
For Graduate Apprentices, candidates must possess the prescribed degree in the relevant discipline. The notification includes B.E./B.Tech, B.Lib.Sc, BBA and B.Com qualifications for different training categories.
For Technician (Diploma) Apprentices, candidates must possess a diploma in the relevant discipline.
Eligible Passing Years
Candidates who have passed their B.E./B.Tech, Diploma, BBA, B.Com or B.Lib.Sc qualification in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible to apply.
Candidates who passed the qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible.

NATS Registration
B.E./B.Tech, Diploma, BBA, B.Com and B.Lib.Sc candidates must register their names on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected.
Who Is Not Eligible?
- Candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates who did not complete the qualifying examination as regular candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates who passed the qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more training or job experience after obtaining the essential qualification are not eligible for apprenticeship engagement under the Act.
DRDO ITR Apprentice Training Duration
The apprenticeship training will be for a period of 12 months. Selected candidates must execute a contract for the 12-month training period under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and applicable rules.
DRDO ITR Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Selection will be made from shortlisted candidates on the basis of Written Test / Personal Interview / Both. ITR reserves the right to adopt its own method of shortlisting and is not required to shortlist every candidate who meets the minimum eligibility conditions.
Reservations will be applicable according to the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentices Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.

- Fill the application form in the prescribed format.
- The application must be typewritten.
- Enter the NATS Enrollment Number and apprenticeship category.
- Mention the branch, discipline or subject.
- Enter personal, contact and educational details.
- Attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
- Attach the recent passport-size photograph.
- Sign the application form.
- Place the application and documents in a sealed envelope.
- Superscribe the envelope as prescribed in the notification.
- Send the application through Speed Post / Registered Post only.
Handwritten applications, except for the signature, will not be accepted. Candidates should also retain a copy of the submitted application for their records.
