The High Court of Delhi, New Delhi has released the official Vacancy Notice for the Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant Examination 2026. A total of 150 Group-B vacancies have been announced, including 117 Senior Personal Assistant (SPA) posts and 33 Personal Assistant (PA) posts.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official Delhi High Court website. The online application process will commence on 15 September 2026 at 11:00 AM and the last date for submission of the application form and payment of examination fee is 05 October 2026 at 11:00 PM.

Candidates applying for Senior Personal Assistant must be Graduates and possess English Shorthand speed of at least 110 words per minute and English Typing speed of 40 words per minute on computer. For Personal Assistant, candidates need Graduation along with English Shorthand speed of at least 100 words per minute and English Typing speed of 40 words per minute on computer.

Delhi High Court Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applications are invited from persons who are citizens of India or subjects of Nepal in accordance with the applicable Government of India instructions.

Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification and skill requirements on or before 05 October 2026, which is the closing date for online applications.

Delhi High Court Senior Personal Assistant Qualification 2026

Candidates applying for Senior Personal Assistant must possess:

  • Graduation from a recognised University;
  • English Shorthand speed of not less than 110 words per minute;
  • English Typewriting speed of not less than 40 words per minute on computer; and
  • Good working knowledge of computer.

Delhi High Court Personal Assistant Qualification 2026

Candidates applying for Personal Assistant must possess:

  • Graduation from a recognised University;

All educational qualifications should be obtained from a University, Institution or Board recognised by the Government of India or approved by Government regulatory bodies. The final result of the qualifying qualification must have been declared on or before 05 October 2026.

Can Candidates Apply for Both SPA and PA?

Yes. Candidates who satisfy the respective eligibility requirements can apply for both posts. However, they must submit separate online applications and pay the applicable examination fee separately for each post.

Delhi High Court Age Limit 2026

The applicant should not be below 18 years and should not be over 32 years of age as on 01 January 2026.

Disabled Defence Services personnel may receive relaxation in the upper age limit up to 45 years, and up to 50 years for SC/ST candidates, subject to the conditions prescribed in the notice.

There is no upper age limit for persons who are in regular service of the Delhi High Court, subject to possessing the requisite educational qualification. This benefit is not applicable to employees working in other Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings or Delhi District Courts.

Delhi High Court Reservation 2026

Reservation in direct recruitment is governed by the applicable rules and includes:

  • 15% for Scheduled Castes;
  • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes;
  • 27% for Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer;
  • 10% for Economically Weaker Sections; and
  • 4% horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.

There is no reservation of Group-A and Group-B vacancies for Ex-Servicemen. However, eligible Ex-Servicemen may receive the applicable age relaxation.

Delhi High Court OBC-NCL Certificate Requirement 2026

For claiming OBC reservation, the candidate must belong to a caste recognised as OBC by the Government of NCT of Delhi and possess the required certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

Where required, the Non-Creamy Layer certificate should have been issued during the financial year 2026-27, i.e. between 01 April 2026 and 31 March 2027.

Candidates seeking EWS reservation must possess the prescribed Income and Asset Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the last date for submission of the online application.

Delhi High Court PwBD Reservation 2026

The notification provides horizontal reservation for candidates with benchmark disabilities of 40% or more in the disability categories identified for these posts.

The specified disability categories include, as applicable:

  • One Leg (OL);
  • Both Legs (BL);
  • Leprosy Cured (LC);
  • Dwarfism (Dw);
  • Acid Attack Victim (AAV);
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder - Mild / Moderate;

The Interview carries a maximum of 15 marks. There are no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the Interview.

Delhi High Court Final Merit List 2026

The final merit list for both SPA and PA will be prepared by adding marks secured in:

  • Stage-II - English Shorthand Tests;
  • Stage-III - Main Descriptive Examination; and
  • Stage-IV - Interview.

Stage-I English Typing Test is qualifying in nature and its marks are not added to the final merit.

Delhi High Court Tie-Breaking Rules 2026

In case two or more candidates secure equal aggregate marks, the tie will be resolved in the following order:

  1. Higher marks in English Shorthand Tests;
  2. Higher marks in Main Descriptive Examination;
  3. Higher marks in Interview; and
