Ex-Servicemen Reservation
Out of the eight MV Mechanic vacancies, two vacancies are earmarked for Ex-Servicemen (ESM). These vacancies will be filled from any category under the ESM quota and adjusted horizontally against the applicable communal reservation category of the selected candidate. Candidates applying for the Skilled Artisan/Tradesmen posts must possess a certificate in the respective trade from a Government-recognised Technical Institution.

India Post Skilled Artisan Selection Process 2026
The selection of Skilled Artisans/Tradesmen will be made through a Competitive Trade Test based on the syllabus prescribed for the respective trade.
Only candidates possessing the required qualification and, where applicable, a valid HMV Driving Licence for the MV Mechanic trade will be considered for the selection process. Details regarding the trade-test syllabus, date, venue and duration will be communicated to eligible candidates along with their Hall Permits.

Important Instructions for Candidates
