BDL has notified vacancies across Mechanical Engineering, CSE/IT, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering. BDL Apprentice Educational Qualification 2026
Graduate Apprentice
Candidates applying for Graduate Apprentice positions must possess a Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognised University.
The notification also permits a degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such degrees under an Act of Parliament.
Diploma Apprentice
Candidates applying for Diploma (Technician) Apprentice positions must possess a Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline.
The diploma must be granted by a State Council or State Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline, or by a University in the relevant discipline.
BDL Apprentice Age Limit 2026
The notification states that the age limit will be followed as per the Apprenticeship Rules. No separate numerical upper age limit is specified in the notification table. Therefore, candidates should not assume a particular age limit beyond the provisions applicable under the Apprenticeship Rules.
BDL Apprentice Reservation 2026

The application process is conducted through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. The notification provides separate instructions for candidates who are already enrolled and candidates who have not yet enrolled on the portal.
For Candidates Already Enrolled on NATS
- Visit the NATS portal.
- Log in using the registered email ID and password.
- Complete the required application process.

For Candidates Not Yet Enrolled on NATS
- Visit the NATS portal.

Is There a Job After Completing BDL Apprenticeship?
No permanent employment is guaranteed.
