CSIR TKDL Recruitment 2026 - Online Form for 50 Senior Project Associate & Project Associate Posts

The CSIR-Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (CSIR-TKDL) Unit has released Advertisement No. TKDL/08/2026 inviting applications for various Senior Project Associate and Project Associate-I positions under the project titled “Information systems of traditional knowledge for protection and promotion” (TKDL-TK, MLP002639).

A total of 50 positions are available in Information Technology, Ayurveda, Unani, Sowa Rigpa, Siddha, Patent, Sanskrit and Yoga. The positions are purely temporary and contractual, initially up to 31 March 2027 and maximum up to 31 March 2031, co-terminus with the project.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the CSIR website. The last date to submit the online application is 12 October 2026 up to 5:00 PM.

CSIR TKDL Recruitment 2026 - Educational Qualification

The qualification differs according to the post and discipline.

Information Technology

For Senior Project Associate (Information Technology), candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA with the prescribed research and development experience. Alternatively, ME/M.Tech in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology with the prescribed experience is accepted.

For Project Associate-I positions in Information Technology, the required qualification includes a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA, depending upon the post code.

Information Technology - Data Science

For the Data Science positions, candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or Electronics, or MCA.

Ayurveda

For Senior Project Associate (Ayurveda), BAMS with the prescribed R&D experience or MD (Ayurveda) with the prescribed experience is required. BAMS is prescribed for Project Associate-I (Ayurveda).

Unani

Project Associate-I (Unani) requires BUMS from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates with proficiency in Arabic and/or Persian will be preferred.

Sowa Rigpa

For Senior Project Associate (Sowa Rigpa), a Bachelor's degree in Sowa Rigpa medicine with the prescribed R&D experience or MD (Sowa Rigpa) with the prescribed experience is required. A Bachelor's degree in Sowa Rigpa medicine is prescribed for Project Associate-I positions.

Siddha

For Senior Project Associate (Siddha), BSMS with the prescribed R&D experience or MD (Siddha) with the prescribed experience is required. Project Associate-I (Siddha) requires BSMS from a recognized University or equivalent.

Patent

For Senior Project Associate (Patent), a Master's degree in Chemical or Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics or Cheminformatics with the prescribed R&D experience, or a Doctoral Degree in Chemical or Biological Science with the prescribed experience, is required.

For Project Associate-I (Patent), a Master's degree in Chemical or Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics or Cheminformatics is required.

Sanskrit

Senior Project Associate (Sanskrit) requires a Master's degree in Sanskrit with the prescribed R&D experience or a Doctoral Degree in Sanskrit with the prescribed experience. Knowledge of traditional medical texts and familiarity with medical terminology is desirable.

Yoga

Project Associate-I (Yoga) requires a Master's Degree in Yoga from a recognized University or equivalent.

CSIR TKDL Salary 2026

The monthly emoluments are as follows:

• Senior Project Associate: ₹42,000 + HRA per month.
• Project Associate-I: ₹31,000 + HRA per month for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, GATE, or the specified national-level selection examinations.
• Project Associate-I for other eligible candidates: ₹25,000 + HRA per month.

CSIR TKDL Age Limit 2026

• Senior Project Associate: Maximum 40 years.
• Project Associate-I: Maximum 35 years.

Age relaxation is applicable to eligible statutory groups as per CSIR/Government of India rules.
