Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Local Bank Officers (LBO) on a regular basis under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16. A total of 2482 vacancies have been announced across various States.

Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.

Candidates shortlisted through the online examination will be required to qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Bank of Baroda LBO Salary 2026

The Local Bank Officer post is in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I (JMG/S-I).

One advance increment will be granted to selected candidates having one year or more of work experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for allowances, benefits, perquisites and facilities in accordance with Bank policies and the applicable industry-level bipartite settlement / Joint Note.

Selected candidates will remain on probation for a period of 12 months (1 year) of active service from the date of joining the Bank.

Bank of Baroda LBO Service Bond 2026

Candidates selected for the Local Bank Officer post will be required to execute a Service Bond according to the Bank's prevailing policies.

As stated in the notification, the present Service Bond condition requires the selected candidate to:

• Serve Bank of Baroda for a minimum period of 3 years after joining; or
• Pay an amount equivalent to three months' Gross Salary, subject to a maximum of Rs. 2 lakh, if the candidate leaves the Bank before completing three years of active service.

Selected candidates will initially be posted within the State for which they applied.
