The notification states that FTE employees will receive the applicable monthly consolidated pay, with statutory deductions such as PF, ESI and income tax. Important Qualification Note for Technical Assistant Posts
For the Technical Assistant posts, a Diploma in the respective engineering discipline is an essential requirement. Candidates who possess B.E./B.Tech but do not possess the required Diploma will not be considered for these posts.
The notification also provides grouping of eligible engineering disciplines for Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Civil categories.
Goa Shipyard Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The upper age limit is different for certain posts and categories. For most posts, the upper age limit for UR/EWS candidates is 33 years as on 30 September 2026. The upper age limit for Assistant Superintendent (Hindi Translator) is 36 years for OBC candidates, while the Steward cum Cook post has an upper age limit of 41 years for UR/EWS candidates.
Age relaxation is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Agniveer and PwBD candidates according to existing Government guidelines. Internal candidates are also eligible for age relaxation as per GSL rules. However, after all applicable relaxations, the maximum age as on the cut-off date should not exceed 56 years.

The written test may be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) or Pen Paper Based Test (PBT). The written examination will normally consist of 25% General Aptitude questions and 75% subject or trade-related questions.

The posting may be at Goa Shipyard Limited, its other units, project sites or offices as required by the company.
