WCL Apprentices Notification 2025 : Age Limits (As On 01 July 2025)

• Minimum Age limit : 18 Years
• Maximum Age limit : 26 Years
• Age Relaxation is Applicable as per Rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate Apprentice: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering.

Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Mining Engineering / Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying Engineering.

Trade Apprentices (ITI):

• COPA: Matriculation + 1-year Trade Certificate (Computer Operator & Programming Assistant).
• Fitter: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Fitter).
• Electrician: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Electrician).
• Welder: Matriculation + 1-year Trade Certificate (Welder – Gas & Electric).
• Wireman: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Wireman).
• Surveyor: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Surveyor).
• Mechanic Diesel: Matriculation + 1-year Trade Certificate (Mechanic Diesel).
• Draughtsman (Civil): Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil).
• Machinist: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Machinist).
• Turner: Matriculation + 2-year Trade Certificate (Turner).
• Pump Operator cum Mechanic: Matriculation + 1-year Trade Certificate.
• Steno (Hindi): Matriculation + 1-year Trade Certificate (Steno Hindi).
• Security Guard (Optional): Matriculation.

• Graduate Apprentice : ₹12,300 per month
• Technician Apprentice : ₹10,900 per month
• COPA (Computer Operator & Programming Assistant) : ₹10,560 per month
• Fitter :₹11,040 per month
• Electrician : ₹11,040 per month
• Welder (Gas & Electric) :₹10,560 per month
• Wireman : ₹11,040 per month
• Surveyor : ₹11,040 per month

Mode Of Selection

• A candidate may apply against any one of the notified positions pertaining to anyone of the establishments only. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification of the candidature.
• Candidate shall be wholly/exclusively responsible for the information provided in his/ her online application form and if at any stage of selection it is revealed or found that the candidate has just furnished incorrect information while applying online his/her candidature shall be rejected with immediate effect.
• Information pertaining to date of Birth, Caste Category, Qualification etc. once entered in the Online Application shall be considered as Final and no alteration will be permitted at later and subsequent stages, that is why the candidates must check and be assure about the correctness of the information filled/applied under Online application before finally submitting it online. 

How to Apply WCL Apprentices Online Form 2025

• Candidate meeting the above prescribed eligibility criteria should visit WCL website https://westerncoal.in and apply online following the schedule as provided under Table 6.
• Paper based application will not be accepted.
• Candidate has to visit WCL website and then follow the path, Home> Career> Apprentice, for applying online.
• Firstly, a candidate has to register themselves on the Online portal and to create an online account for which they are required to have a valid mobile number and a valid email. After registering successfully they may apply for the positions of which they are fulfilling the eligibility criterion.
• Candidate has to provide all relevant details including NATS/NAPS registration reference, Date of Birth, Name as available in Matriculation certificate, Address for correspondence, permanent address, Academic details, Scanned photograph, Scanned Signature etc.
• After successfully filling the online form they have to confirm a declaration and he/she must go through the details provided in preview before final submission.
• After final submission of online application candidate must save and preserve a Hard as well as soft copy of his/her online application for future purposes.

Important Instructions

• Apprenticeship will follow the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and related rules.
• No TA/DA will be provided for scrutiny or formalities.
• Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in WCL; no employment claims will be accepted.
• Selected candidates must submit an affidavit before training.
• Candidates must submit valid caste/PwBD certificates to claim reservation benefits.
• Stipend will be paid to the Aadhaar-linked bank account; any new instructions will be followed.
• All updates and communication will be on the WCL website, email, or SMS.
• Incorrect/incomplete applications or those not meeting eligibility will be rejected.
• Canvassing at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Apprentices will be under the administrative control of WCL units/projects/areas.
• False information or forged documents will lead to cancellation at any stage.
• Any changes in rules or conditions will automatically apply.
• All disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Nagpur courts only.
• WCL may change the mode of selection if required.
• No accommodation, food, or transport will be provided during training.
