A total of 109 vacancies are available for Associate Engineer and Associate Officer positions across different grades.

EIL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Associate Engineer Grade II
Candidates must possess BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Welding/NDT, Electrical or Instrumentation with a minimum of 60% marks.
A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in construction-related activities of Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Power Plants or Nuclear Plants Projects is required. The upper age limit is 37 years.
Associate Engineer Grade III
Candidates must possess BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Welding/NDT, Electrical or Instrumentation with a minimum of 60% marks.
A minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience in construction-related activities of Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Power Plants or Nuclear Plants Projects is required. The upper age limit is 41 years.
Associate Engineer Grade IV
Candidates must possess BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Welding/NDT, Electrical or Instrumentation with a minimum of 60% marks.
A minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in construction-related activities of Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Power Plants or Nuclear Plants Projects is required. The upper age limit is 45 years.
Associate Officer Grade II
There are three prescribed qualification routes for Associate Officer Grade II:
- D1: Graduate in Arts, Commerce or Science with Diploma in Material Management, with a minimum of 14 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- D2: Diploma in Engineering with Diploma in Material Management, with a minimum of 13 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- D3: Degree in any branch of Engineering with Diploma in Material Management, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
The upper age limit for Associate Officer Grade II is 37 years. Relevant experience must be in construction-related activities of Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Power Plants or Nuclear Plants Projects.
Welding/NDT Qualification
Candidates applying for Welding/NDT positions must have a minimum educational qualification of B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks and an ASNT or ISNT Level-II certificate in RT, UT, DPT or MPT.

Age relaxation is available as prescribed by EIL. The notification provides relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates, 10 years for PwD-General/EWS candidates, 13 years for PwD-OBC-NCL candidates and 15 years for PwD-SC/ST candidates. Relaxation is also applicable to Ex-Servicemen as prescribed.

EIL Recruitment 2026 Job Location
The selected candidates will be deployed at different foreign construction sites of EIL. However, candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad depending on organisational requirements.
EIL Recruitment 2026 Tenure
The engagement will be purely on a fixed-term basis. The initial period of hiring is 2 years, which may be extended by another 1 year if required or until completion of the assignment, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. The maximum period is 3 years from the initial date of joining.
There is no claim for regular appointment in EIL merely because a candidate has worked on a fixed-term basis.
