DHFWS Jalpaiguri Notification 2025 : Age Limits (As On 01 July 2025)

• Specialists (Medicine/Paediatrics/G&O/Ophthalmology): Maximum 67 years as on 01/01/2025.
• Most other posts (Block Epidemiologist, Block PH Manager, Block Data Manager, Counsellor, TB HV, STLS, Peer Support, Yoga Instructor, CHO etc.): 21 to 40 years or max 40 years as on 01/01/2025 or 01/04/2025 (CHO).
• Laboratory Technicians: 19–40 years or max 40 years as on 01/01/2025 (post-wise variation).
• Attendant, Medical Social Worker, CHA: 20–40 years or 21–40 years as on 01/01/2025.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST up to 5 years, OBC-A/OBC-B up to 3 years (WB candidates only).

Eligibility Criteria

• All candidates must be permanent residents of West Bengal with proficiency in the local language for every post.
• Post-wise essential educational qualifications and experience are clearly defined (MBBS with PG/DNB/Diploma for Specialists; M.Sc. Life Science / BAMS/BHMS/BUMS / B.Sc. Life Science with Management / Graduation with Computer Diploma / DMLT/BMLT / ANM/GNM/B.Sc. Nursing / Yoga Diploma etc.).
• Desirable qualifications include Ph.D./M.Phil., public health experience, experience in national health programmes, specific lab or field experience, competency in MS Office and internet, etc.
• Detailed criteria such as registration with WBMC/WBNC/WBCYN/Paschim Banga Ayurved Parisad and bond conditions (for CHO posts) are specified for relevant posts.

Salary

• Specialist Medical Officer (all specialities): Rs. 3,000/- per day, minimum 3 hours per day, 2–3 days per week (post-wise).
• Block Epidemiologist / Block Public Health Manager: Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Lab Technician (various programmes) / Block Data Manager: Rs. 22,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Counsellor (Male, RKSK): Rs. 20,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Medical Social Worker: Rs. 18,000/- per month (consolidated).
• TB HV (NTEP): Rs. 18,000/- per month (consolidated).
• STLS: Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Attendant (NRC): Rs. 5,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Peer Support: Rs. 10,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Yoga Instructor (Male): Rs. 8,000/- per month for 32 sessions (Rs. 250/- per session).
• CHA (Urban): Rs. 13,000/- per month (consolidated).
• CHO (BAMS/Staff Nurse): Rs. 20,000/- per month + up to Rs. 5,000/- incentive (PLI) after posting; Rs. 10,000/- per month stipend during training.

Mode Of Selection

• Selection for each post is based on a weighted scheme including:

1. Academic marks (Madhyamik, HS, Graduation, PG, professional degree) with proportionate marking.
2. Technical qualification weighting (e.g., MBBS/PG degrees, DMLT/BMLT, Yoga diploma, ANM/GNM/B.Sc Nursing etc.).
3. Experience marks up to a specified maximum based on completed years in Govt/Private health sector.
4. Computer test and/or written test and interview for many posts (total marks usually 50 or 100).
