Akashvani Kolkata Part Time Correspondent Notification 2025 : Age Limits (As On 01 July 2025)

• Minimum Age limit : 24 Years
• Maximum Age limit : 50 Years

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification

1. PG Diploma / Degree in Journalism / Mass Media OR
2. Graduate with minimum 2 years journalistic experience

• Other Mandatory Requirements

1. Must reside in the concerned District HQ or within 10 km radius
2. Knowledge of Computers & word processing
3. Possession of news-gathering devices (camera, recorder, etc.)

• Language Proficiency

1. Bengali – Proficient (mandatory for all districts)
2. Nepali – Mandatory for Darjeeling & Kalimpong districts
3. Hindi & English – Working knowledge desirable

• Desirable

1. Experience of coverage for electronic media (Radio/TV)

Salary

• As per the Revised Scheme for engagement of PTCs available on newsonair.gov.in (generally assignment-based payment + monthly retainership).
