Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for recruitment to 220 temporary posts of Assistant Technical Officer, Group-B, Gazetted under the Department of Industries and Commerce (Information Technology), Government of Tripura.

Note: Out of the total vacancies, 9 posts are reserved for PH candidates. The number of posts may increase or decrease as per requisition of the department.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech) in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• OR Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication from a government institute or AICTE / UGC recognized institute.
• OR Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from a government institute or government-recognized institute.

Permanent Resident Certificate

To apply for the post, candidates must possess a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age will be calculated as on 05.06.2026.

Age Relaxation

• ST / SC / Physically Handicapped candidates: 5 years
• Government employees may also get relaxation as per rules.
• Government employees belonging to ST / SC / PH category will not get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of 5 years.

Application Fee

The recruitment fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

• Written Examination
• Interview / Personality Test

The selection process will be conducted in two successive stages. The written examination will carry 170 marks, while the interview/personality test will carry 30 marks.

Written Exam Pattern

Qualifying Marks

• Unreserved category candidates must score minimum 55% in each subject.
• Reserved category candidates must score minimum 45% in each subject.
• If a candidate fails to secure qualifying marks in any paper, marks of that paper will not be considered for aggregate calculation.

Interview / Personality Test

The interview/personality test will carry 30 marks. It will assess personal qualities such as intellectual ability, social traits, interest in current affairs, critical power of judgement, variety and depth of interest, leadership ability and moral integrity.

Final Selection

Final selection will be made in order of merit based on marks obtained in the written examination and interview/personality test. If a candidate remains absent in the interview/personality test, candidature will not be considered for final selection.

2. Open the Online Application Portal.
3. New users must complete One Time Profile Registration using OTP verification.
4. Login with the generated User ID and password.
5. Select the Assistant Technical Officer recruitment link.
6. Fill the application form carefully.
7. Pay the prescribed application fee online.
8. Submit the application and take a printout for future use.

Important Instructions

• Applications must be submitted only through the online application portal.
• Applicants should avoid submitting multiple applications.
• Candidates are not required to upload certificates at the time of online application.
• Successful candidates after written examination will have to submit self-attested copies of documents.
• Government employees must apply through proper channel or submit No Objection Certificate.
• The exam venue will close 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.
