SSC Combined Hindi Translators Recruitment 2026 Apply Online for 84 Posts
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026. The exam will be conducted for recruitment to Group B Non-Gazetted posts including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Senior Translation Officer in various Central Government Ministries, Departments and Organizations. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age will be calculated as on 01-08-2026.
- Candidates born not before 02-08-1996 and not later than 01-08-2008 are eligible.
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD + OBC: 13 years
- PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
Educational Qualification
For Junior Hindi Translator / Junior Translation Officer / Junior Translator
- Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level; or
- Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level; or
- Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or as medium of examination at degree level.
- Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, or 2 years’ translation experience in Central/State Government office.
For Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator
- Master’s Degree in Hindi/English or relevant combination of Hindi and English at degree level.
- Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, or 3 years’ translation experience in Central/State Government office.
